Chris Bosh doesn’t get to play in NYC tonight when the Heat return to NY to play the Knicks. This sprained left ankle forced him to stay home to rehab, as he didn’t even travel with the team.

Bosh is unlikely to play again this month. Thursday’s game will be LeBron James’ third since missing two games with an ankle injury.

New York ended a six-game losing streak by defeating the Washington Wizards 115-106 on Monday. The six-game skid matched the Knicks’ longest of the season.

Miami hasn’t played since Saturday when it ended a four-game losing skid with a 120-103 victory over Toronto. Online Sports Betting at Sportsbook

James is averaging 36 points, 10.5 rebounds and 6.5 assists over the past two games for Miami. He’s also averaging 25 points in two games against the Knicks this season. His career average is 28.1 in 25 contests.

Miami has beaten the Knicks twice this season, winning 113-91 in New York on Dec. 17 and 106-98 at home on Dec. 28. Overall, the Heat has notched seven successive victories in the series.

NBA Betting Trends:

Miami is 5-0 SU in its last 5 games when playing New York
The total has gone OVER in 5 of last 5 games on the road
The total has gone OVER in 7 of last 8 games
Miami is 13-3 SU in its last 16 games on the road
Over is 7-1 in MIA last 8 overall.
Over is 5-2-1 in MIA last 8 Thu. games.
NY is 5-2 SU in its last 7 games at home
Under is 9-2 in NY last 11 Thu. games.
Under is 7-3 in NY last 10 overall.
NY are 7-3 ATS in their last 10 vs. NBA Southeast.
Over is 6-2-1 in the last 9 meetings.

Best bets: In the TNT opener, 3.5 will not be enough for the Knicks against the rested Heat, who have had 5 days of rest, which is their longest break between games all season.

A nice parlay play will be to also lay $ on the Blazers/Celts matchup. This is nowhere near the Bataan Death March that it would have been even last year, and Boston is a solid 12-7 on the road. Portland had been adjusting OK (5 wins in a row) to life without Brandon Roy until the Blazers experienced a complete defensive/offensive letdown in a 15-point loss at home to the Kings on Monday night.

LaMarcus Aldridge appears to be slowing down under the stress of a huge minutes – he’s played more than 40 in 5 straight, 6 of the last 7 and 7 of the last 9. Liking Boston to do some damage at the start of the road trip.
