Over/Under:

Four solid teams on the TNT doubleheader tonight. A look at each team as the NBA season reaches the quarter pole:

ATLANTA (16-10) – After a blazing start built on the back of weak opponents in late October/early November, the Hawks have settled in to just about where everyone slotted them – in third place in the Southeast Division, behind Miami and Orlando.

There won’t be much suspense in the division, as the Hawks have too much talent to drop behind either Charlotte or Washington and not enough to catch the Magic or Heat.

So what you see is what you get for the next four months until the Hawks snag the No. 6 or 7 playoff seed. Larry Drew promised a more team-oriented offense, but the Hawks often revert to one-on-one isolations.

BOSTON (20-4) – The bad news is that Boston has suffered a rash of injuries. The good news is that the Big Three (Garnett/Pierce/Allen) aren’t among the players banged up. The rest of the season will be a glorified exhibition season for Boston as coach Doc Rivers tries to keep his team fresh for the playoffs. Online Sports Betting at Sportsbook

Rajon Rondo has aches and pains everywhere on his body, and Shaquille O’Neal may or may not be hurt but still gets regular time off from practice and games. The Celtics have a lot of depth, and need it. Glen Davis and Nate Robinson give them tremendous energy off the bench.

And don’t forget that they get Kendrick Perkins back sometime around the All-Star break.

TNT NBA Gambling Trends:

The total has gone UNDER in 5 of Atlanta’s last 6 games on the road
Atlanta is 4-1 SU in its last 5 games when playing Boston
Atlanta is 8-3 SU in its last 11 games
The total has gone UNDER in 5 of Atlanta’s last 7 games
Boston is 5-0 SU in its last 5 games
Boston is 5-0 SU in its last 5 games at home
Boston is 9-2 SU in its last 11 games when playing at home against Atlanta
The total has gone OVER in 7 of Boston’s last 10 games at home

Best bets: Boston has lost only four games this season, but much of the damage has been done in the rear end of back-to-back games.

The Celtics are 3-2 straight up in the second game when they have played on consecutive nights, and ATS the record is 2-3.

So be careful of a big play on Boston, especially considering that Rondo, Garnett, Piece and Allen played a combined 152 minutes in an emotional game in New York Wednesday night.

The Spurs are in the same boat, hitting the road after a grinder at home against Milwaukee on Wednesday.

Liking Atlanta (small) and Denver (bigger) on separate plays.
