BetUS NBA Basketball Sports Betting Odds: PHOENIX -5, Total 205.5

* SAC has played 11 of its last 15 home games UNDER the total

Also….

In the wake of a brawl that took place in Wednesday night’s game between Phoenix and Houston, star point guard Steve Nash and reserve forward Matt Barnes have been suspended for this game. Leandro Barbosa has had to go back to Brazil for some personal business. This leaves the Suns without some manpower for this contest. The Kings are missing their best player, as Kevin Martin is still out with a sprained ankle.

But the Kings have played well in Martin’s absence, winning three of four games. In those games, they have shot 55% against Minnesota, 48% against Golden State, 49% against Detroit and 52.5% against the L.A. Clippers. So they don’t appear to be suffering a lot offensively. One guy who really made up for things the other night was Beno Udrih, who scored 30 – a career-high against the Clippers. He is 57% from the field in his last four games. That is, in part, a testament to coach Reggie Theus, who has flown under the radar but has often done more than expected with less.

Theus, by the way, was fined $25,000 by the NBA for some comments he made about the referees, who he thought cost his team a win against Detroit on Tuesday. Theus cited the fact that the Pistons had 36 free throws in the game, compared to just 17 for Sacramento.

Phoenix can be expected to slow things down a little tonight, and it’s not as if they are completely inexperienced with doing that. Shaquille O’Neal’s post play will become more of a factor. And Shaq has shot almost 65% from the floor (also 14.5 ppg). But Raja Bell may be the guy bringing the ball up the floor most times, and that is not the place Phoenix wants to be. As long as Sacramento is shooting well (49% as a team) we wouldn’t be laying these kind of points on the road. Take the Kings, the five-point underdog in the BetUS NBA basketball sports betting odds.
