Betting Preview: Blazers/Pistons + Raptors/Lakers

Online sportsbook betting picks + predictions for the NBA’s slate of scheduled games on Sunday. We preview a handful of the best matchups this weekend from an NBA handicapping perspective…

NBA Basketball Betting – Sunday Doubleheader

Alright BetUS Sportsbook bettors, another weekend is upon us and that means another entertaining weekend of NBA basketball wagering for NBA sports betting buffs.

As usual, my NBA weekend wagering doubleheader is designed to give BetUS NBA sports bettors the maximum opportunity to make a winning wager on two NBA contests.

Here then, is a brief look at each matchup, followed by my in-depth analysis and NBA Free Picks:

Portland Trailblazers at Detroit Pistons

The Portland Trailblazers (10-6 SU, 9-7 ATS) are one of the best up-and-coming young teams in all of basketball and have won 7 of their last 10 overall heading into Friday while winning four of five.

The Blazers have gotten the job done this season by averaging 98.4 points per game while holding opponents to just 93.9 points per game and have a boatload of gifted young players that appear ready to take off at any moment.

The Detroit Pistons (9-5 SU, 7-7 ATS) made a head-scratching trade to acquire Allen Iverson only to see him blow off a Thanksgiving Day practice without so much as calling.

Just 5-5 since acquiring the mercurial shooting guard, the Pistons are a team suddenly in search of a new identity.

Analysis: The Blazers may be young and largely inexperienced, but they are hungry and definitely talented. With a plethora of problems beginning to surface in Detroit, I say the Blazers have an excellent chance to win this game outright.

NBA Free Picks: Blazers 100 Pistons 97

Toronto Raptors at Los Angeles Lakers

The Toronto Raptors (7-7 SU, 6-8 ATS) have been getting a monster season out of forward Chris Bosh, but have been one of the most inconsistent teams in the league this season as they search for their new identity. Toronto had won just 4 of their last 10 overall heading into Friday, averaging 98.3 points per game while allowing 99.6.

The Los Angeles Lakers(12-1 SU, 9-4 ATS) had won five straight games heading into Friday and have looked like the best team in all of basketball for the most part, scoring a whopping 107.0 points per game while allowing only 92.7 points per contest.

Analysis: No way do the Toronto Raptors win this game in Los Angeles NBA Sportsbook bettors. However, they could make the final score closer than expected.

If this point spread reaches the mid teens in double figures, it’s probably too high, even though I like L.A. to win convincingly. Somehow, I see the Raptors keeping the outcome within 15 points.
