The New York Knicks look completely worn out, and things aren’t going to get any easier this week; the San Antonio Spurs are coming to town on Tuesday, and they’ve won nine of their past 10 games against NYC (including 6-4 ATS).

New York (19-14, 21-11-1 ATS) has cooled considerably since its long winning streak through November and December. The Knicks are 3-5 since then, although they beat Indiana 98-92 on Saturday. Still, they’ve failed to cover in their past two games.

All season, head coach Mike D’Antoni has been criticized for playing his starters too much. It finally appears to be catching up to his players. Raymond Felton has been a double-double machine all season, but he’s looking seriously worn out over the last week or so. Online Sports Betting at Sportsbook

Felton has made just 33 percent of his field goals over his last three games while dishing out just 13 total assists in the same span. Felton has failed to score more than 15 points in four of his last five games. Clearly, something has to be done to give him some fresh legs.

Matters are only made worse after the injury to Danilo Gallinari on Saturday. Gallinari, who is averaging 15.3 points and 4.5 rebounds this season, crumpled to a heap against the Pacers after spraining his knee. He could miss the Spurs game, though the injury isn’t considering too serious.

San Antonio (29-4, 20-12-1 ATS) is riding a four-game winning streak. The Spurs have greatly rewarded NBA betting fans, as they’re also enjoying a 4-0 run against the spread. They made short work of Oklahoma City on Saturday, winning 101-74.

The game was even more enjoyable for Spurs fans because of a throwback performance by Tim Duncan. Duncan, who is averaging just 13.6 points this season, led San Antonio with 21 against the Thunder. He also grabbed nine rebounds and blocked a shot.

The Spurs also got a double-double from Tony Parker, just his second since Nov. 22. Parker finished with 14 points and 10 assists while adding a pair of steals.

The Knicks look beat. It’s easy to make excuses and point out that their past two losses have come on the road against powerhouses—Miami and Orlando—but San Antonio certainly belongs in that powerhouse category, doesn’t it? New York doesn’t have the depth to keep its starters fresh, and it’s finally showing. Throw in the injury to Gallinari, and it’s hard to talk yourself into taking the Knicks. Go with the Spurs, who continue looking like the best team in the NBA.
