Chicago’s winning streak is over. Is a key injury going to push the Bulls into a spiral, or can they bounce back against Philadelphia on Tuesday? It might be shocking to hear, but the 76ers have been one of the NBA’s best spread teams over the past two months.

Chicago (16-9, 15-9-1 ATS) had a seven-game winning streak come to a halt last week when it lost 100-99 to the Clippers. The Bulls failed to cover as 8.5-point favorites, ending a string of four straight wins against the spread.

The loss has fans a little nervous. Chicago is moving forward without Joakim Noah, who is out for eight to 10 weeks with a torn ligament in his thumb. Noah is one of the league`s best rebounders and defenders; when he missed time last year, Chicago lost 10 straight games and barely made the playoffs. Online Sports Betting at Sportsbook

Saturday was their first effort without Noah in the lineup, and it was ugly. The clippers scored 61 first-half points while shooting 61 percent from the field. Taj Gibson is trying to replace Noah at center, but he picked up three quick fouls in the first half and was largely limited suffered when appeared to be a concussion.

At the other end of the floor, it looks like Carlos Boozer will pick up the slack. He’s averaging 27 points per game on 60 percent shooting over his last three games.

Philadelphia (11-16, 18-8-1 ATS) is 8-3 in its last 11 games. The Sixers won and covered 97-89 in Orlando on Saturday; they’ve been incredible against the spread, going 13-2 in their past 15 outings.

The 76ers are getting some solid play from Elton Brand right now. That’s huge for Philly, as the 2008 free agent has been a tremendous bust so far. Brand leads the Sixers in scoring (15.4), rebounding (8.2) and blocks (1.2).

Recently, after coach Doug Collins told the media he doesn’t have a 20-and-10 player on his roster, Brand texted Collins and told him he’d try to change that. Against Orlando, Brand posted 20 points, 13 boards and three blocks. If he can maintain that kind of play, Philly just might keep winning.

The Bulls look a little vulnerable right now while the 76ers are surging, so it’s tempting to take the upset. Still, Chicago has a dynamic duo in Derrick Rose and Carlos Boozer, and it’s unfair to just bail on the Bulls after the loss to Los Angeles. Philly should have a hard time keeping up with Chicago, which has too many scoring options.

Philadelphia at Chicago pick: Bulls -6.5
