There’s close to a full slate of games on NBA odds this Friday night as 26 teams will be in action. Two games in particular stand out as all for teams are jockeying for playoff spots or positioning. First, the Memphis Grizzlies visit the Chicago Bulls; (Our preview this game is also up on our blog) then, the Phoenix Suns host the New Orleans Hornets.

New Orleans (40-31, 34-34-3 ATS) lost for the second time in three games when it fell 89-85 to the Boston Celtics last week, although the win sandwiched between losses came against Phoenix. New Orleans recently enjoyed a five-game winning streak against the spread, but the team has since gone 0-2-1 on NBA odds.

Chris Paul had been absurd since missing back-to-back games with a scary neck injury. In his next three starts, Paul exploded for 28.6 points, 11.3 assists, 5.6 rebounds and 5.0 steals per game. He couldn’t find his stroke against Boston, though, going 0-for-9 en route to a four-point evening. Paul still found ways to contribute, though, by dishing out 15 assists and grabbing seven boards. Either way, the Hornets need more scoring from Paul if they’re going to have a chance to win. Online Sports Betting at Sportsbook

Phoenix (36-34, 34-34-2 ATS) has won three of its last four games, including a 114-106 win over the Toronto Raptors on Wednesday. The only loss was a triple overtime defeat to the Lakers. More importantly, the Suns are excelling against the spread; they’re undefeated in their past six games, going 5-0-1 on NBA odds.

Unfortunately, hopes for a playoff run are looking dimmer and dimmer. Phoenix is already in a hole, but now injuries and fatigue are setting in. Grant Hill (flu) and Mickael Pietrus (knee) were both lost in the first half against the Raptors, while Steve Nash was limited to 22 minutes because he’s simply exhausted. Aaron Brooks stepped up in Nash’s place, scoring a season-high 25 points.

The Suns are spent. They’ll be lucky if they can get through an entire game with all five starters intact, so roll with the Hornets.

Trends:

NO are 8-0 ATS in their last 8 Fri. games.
Over is 8-3 in NO last 11 vs. NBA Pacific.
Under is 36-16 in NO last 52 Fri. games.
Under is 22-7 in PHO last 29 Fri. games.
Under is 6-2 in PHO last 8 overall.
