There’s close to a full slate of games on NBA odds this Friday night as 26 teams will be in action. Two games in particular stand out as all for teams are jockeying for playoff spots or positioning. First, the Memphis Grizzlies visit the Chicago Bulls; then, the Phoenix Suns host the New Orleans Hornets. (Our preview for Game 2 is also up on our blog)

Chicago (51-19, 45-24-1 ATS) has won 10 of its past 11 games. The Bulls absolutely crushed Atlanta 114-81 on Monday, giving them back-to-back wins against the spread. The Bulls are 7-1 in their last eight games on NBA odds and have won their last two games by an average of 36.5 points. At one point in the fourth quarter against Atlanta, Chicago led by a whopping 47 points.

The offense has absolutely exploded; the Bulls have posted 100-plus points in three consecutive games, averaging 118 points per outing over that span. It’s even more amazing considering Carlos Boozer has scored 22 total points in his past two games, including six against the Hawks. Derrick Rose is pushing hard for an MVP trophy, as he racked up 30 points and 10 assists in just 28 minutes of action against Atlanta.

Luol Deng is another Bull who is upping his game down the stretch. The forward torched Atlanta for 27 points and is averaging 21.6 points over his last six outings—well above his season average of 17.8 points per game. Online Sports Betting at Sportsbook

Memphis (40-32, 45-26-1 ATS) is trying to hold onto the eighth and final playoff spot in the Western Conference. The Grizzlies beat Boston 90-87 on Tuesday, their third consecutive victory. Memphis has also covered three straight and is 4-1 in its past five games against the spread.

The club got some bad news this week, though, when it was announced second-leading scorer Rudy Gay was finished for the season. Gay had already missed the past 14 games and Memphis had played solid enough in them, going 9-6—with 11 of those games coming against playoff teams.

Several players have picked up the slack. Tony Allen increasing his scoring average by more than five points since Gay went down. O.J. Mayo is excelling in a role off the bench, posing 11 points in back-to-back games. A secret weapon down the stretch could be forward Leon Powe. Powe was cut by the Celtics a few weeks ago, but he came up with 13 points against his former team earlier this week.

That said, Chicago is simply too much for anybody right now. The Bulls are on a mission, and they don’t look like they can be stopped.

Trends:

MEM are 8-3 ATS in their last 11 road games.
MEM are 3-7 ATS in their last 10 Fri. games.
Over is 7-3 in MEM last 10 vs. Eastern Conference.
CHI are 20-6-1 ATS in their last 27 home games.
