OKC Thunder vs. Chicago Bulls Gambling & NBA Handicapping Prediction

Oklahoma City vs Chicago NBA Picks

It seems like none of the top teams in the league are not playing all that well right now…including Oklahoma City. The Thunder will be on a back to back for this one playing Dallas at home before hopping a flight up to the Windy City to play the Bulls. [ad-4468020]

Oklahoma City

When you are a little but sluggish Chicago is the last team you want to play. When these teams met back in December the Thunder had little trouble dispatching the Bulls by 12.

OKC has been out in front in terms of announcing they are going to strategically sit PG Russell Westbrook at times over the rest of the season. He is supposed to be in the lineup on Monday and should be licking his lips as he dropped 20 points with 10 assists when they met last. Kevin Durant scored 32 in that game and those two should really thrive with their matchups making it easy for the rest of the team to chip in more then enough to win.

The Thunder are a good spread team but they lost their last two on the road straight up and against the number. They can win on the road for sure (20-11 SU) but they prefer to get the game going at a pace faster than this one will be. I still think they can get it done as KD is the ultimate closer for these kinds of games. He can make guarded shots.

Chicago

The Bulls are looking to close their current homestand strong. They have already beaten Miami and Houston and a win over Oklahoma City would really make this stretch a success. The Bulls are still leading the league in defense but I never feel comfortable betting them because their offense is so sporadic. They are last in the league in scoring and it is easy to see why. Nothing is going to change either.

It looks like all that MVP talk has gone to Joakim Noah’s head in a good way. He had another near triple double in their last win against Sacramento, leading the team with 23 points along the way. It is amazing they can continue to win as much as they do when their leader in minutes per game – Jimmy Butler – is just their 4th leading scorer and their leading scorer, D.J. Augustin, is a retread who started the season with another team.

Chicago’s all defense approach has them two games over .500 ATS on the season. As a handicapper I love their defensive commitment but as I have said so many times before they just scare me on offense – too many games in the 70s will do that. They do not back down from elite competition but I still don’t like them down all that often and they have just bagged two.

Score prediction: Oklahoma City 99 – Chicago 90
