I wasn’t completely shocked that they lost to Golden State, even though it was as home, but I was very surprised that they did not rebound and beat Charlotte on the road – they lost by 22 and gave up a ton of points. Visiting Houston is not a great place to get back to winning so we could be looking at their first real losing streak of the season.
In the loss to Charlotte All-Star Paul George was terrible.
He did not make a shot from the floor and was an astounding -38 for the game – it almost doesn’t seem to be possible to be that much of a non factor. On the flip side, acquisition Evan Turner led all Pacers with 22 points.

They are kind of the similar players playing the same position so you have wonder if there is a connection or just bad timing.
Indiana is just 14-14 ATS this season on the road.
This is only the 6th time they have not been favoured this season and they are 3-3 SU and 4-2 ATS in those situations. They are certainly more than capable of pulling off the upset in this classic offense vs. defense battle.

Houston
The Rockets are playing as well as any team in the league right now.
They had a killer win over Miami early in the week and have not lost a game at home in more than a month. They are stalking San Antonio for the division lead and proving more and more they are a legit title contender.
Another big win over Indiana would only help to increase that view. I think they are going to get it too.
Houston has been rolling even though they keep going back and forth in the starting PG spot between Jeremy Lin and Patrick Beverley. Beverley has been getting the majority of the minutes lately and been doing well scoring the ball but he is not as much of a playmaker.
To keep the big dogs like James Harden happy I am wondering if long term Lin is the better solution with Beverley providing some instant offense off the bench.
As expressed above this game will be a battle between top offensive and defensive clubs. Normally defense travels well but the way Indiana has been playing lately you might want to go with the home faves until the Pacer gets right.
Taking Houston with just a couple of possessions to cover is pretty good value.
