Denver Nuggets vs. Golden St. Warriors Gambling & NBA Handicapping Prediction

DenverĀ vs Golden State NBA Picks

Denver had their 5 game winning streak snapped with a loss at Utah to start the week. The run had pushed them over .500 for the season and now they have to tangle with one of the hottest teams in the league, on the road, at Golden State. [ad-4468020]

ATS Matchup Insight | CP Insider Gambling Preview

Denver

This team has the potential to be a lot better than they have shown this season but this is going to be a tough place for them to demonstrate that.

I think Denver has one of the more underrated player in the league in speedy PG Ty Lawson.

He has increased his scoring and assists every season he has been in the league, taking advantage of increases in playing time that he has earned. This year the Nuggets are very balanced in scoring and pretty much have been since ‘Melo left for NYC.

This team is one of the most confusing in the league as they can look brilliant one night and awful the next.

On their recent winning streak they covered 4 of 5 times but overall this has been a team to stay away from.

Their ATS record is not horrible but as expressed earlier it is really tought to read them from game to game, like their last one which was a loss at the Jazz as chalk when they were playing their best ball of the season.

You can fade these guys situationally but it is hard to know when to get behind them.

Golden State

I am a big fan of the Warriors but I wouldn’t have guessed they could rattle off 10 straight victories. Equally impressive was that after the streak was snapped they gutted out a win at home against Boston. It wasn’t a cover but that is what good teams do. These guys have been very good at home this season and have won 12 of their last 14 overall.

They are getting it done and have risen to contender status for me.

Steph Curry gets all of the acclaim but the unsung heroes of this team are forwards David Lee and Andre Iguodala. Lee may not look like much but all he does is aveage 19/10 without really ever demanding the ball.

Iggy has become a real catalsyst for this team, especially defensively, and when others are off he can chip in points too like the 22 he scored against the Celtics.

He is really lighting it up from outside too. I wish I had more room so I could write about Andrew Bogut too.

Though they were winning almost every night for three weeks this is still not a good cover team. Their offensive and defensive numbers are very good but there is a huge gap when they go to their bench so some games that were really out of reach seem closer than they really were.

At home this number is very doable though.

Spread Pick: Golden State -7
O/U Pick: Over
Score Prediction: Golden State 111 – Denver 101
