The Western Conference Finals are living up to the hype. Both teams took care of business on their home court and we are all level at two games apiece. Now, it’s time for a pivotal Game Five. Which team can stick their nose out in front?

Expect the toughest battle of the series thus far.

Kevin Durant took over in the fourth quarter in Game Four. It seemed as if Durant simply wasn’t going to let his team lose. He scored 18 points in the final seven minutes of the game to lead his team to victory.

The Spurs got as close as four in the last few minutes of the game, but Durant had an answer every time. Serge Ibaka had the best game of his career in Game Four. He was a perfect 11 for 11 from the floor for 26 points.

Ibaka is known for his defense, but when he lights it up offensively the Thunder are very tough to beat. Oklahoma City also won the battle on the boards 41-31. Can the Thunder put up a superb effort in San Antonio?  [soliloquy id=”82219″]

San Antonio simply couldn’t get stops in Game Four.

The Spurs shot 50% from the floor, and the offense was working just fine in the fourth quarter, but the defense let them down. Oklahoma City shot 56.4% from the floor, and the Spurs couldn’t get a stop in the clutch.

Kawhi Leonard did his best to give the Spurs a chance to win. Leonard scored 17 points on 7 of 8 shooting in Game Four. Manu Ginobili committed six costly turnovers in Game Four, and he’ll have to be better in Game Five. Tony Parker had his worst offensive game of the postseason.

Parker was 5 for 15 for just 12 points in Saturday night’s loss. If the Spurs are going to win this series, they must get huge efforts from Parker and Ginobili.

This is the first time in the series that it almost feels like a must-win game for both teams. I expect this one to be close the whole way.
