OKC Thunder vs. San Antonio Spurs Game 2 Gambling Odds & NBA Free Prediction

Thunder vs Spurs NBA Picks

The Thunder were showing signs that the loss of Serge Ibaka is going to be a big one.  Not only did they lose game one, the first loss to San Antonio all season long, they looked soft in the middle, something that is going to be hard to correct over the course of the series.[ad-4468020]

Oklahoma City

The big thing now is to maintain confidence and try and come back in game 2.  If they can not get at least one win on the road their chances are not good.

It is an interesting result when Russell Westbrook takes more shots than Kevin Durant and the Thunder lose.

That can’t be by design, can it? The two combined for 53 points but the rest of the starting lineup, without Ibaka, combined for 5 points, and that was all from Kendrick Perkins.

Rather than throwing Nick Collison into the lineup I wonder if the Thunder might want to go with Reggie Jackson or Caron Butler and go a little small

After what we saw in G1 where the Thunder really faded in the 4th quarter it is hard to have a ton of confidence in this team heading into G2.

I still like the Thunder as a 6 point underdog against almost anybody but unless they come up with a couple more answers they are in trouble and the series might get away from them.

San Antonio

I suppose it is typical San Antonio to not beat a team during the regular season and then dump them easily to start a playoff series.

This team is very good but with coach Popovich at the helm sometimes they defy conventional logic. Before the numbers were against them but now with a G1 win they are back on their side.

San Antonio certainly looks ready to return to the Finals after Monday night.

The Spurs played their advantages beautifully in G1 with Tim Duncan looking vintage scoring 27 points in 29 minutes. Speaking of vintage, the combo of Danny Green and Kawhi Leonard is also looking like the duo that lit up last year’s playoffs with 16 points apiece in G1.

San Antonio only turned it over 9 times and two of those were by backup C Aron Baynes who really doesn’t handle the ball much.

It wasn’t a perfect game but there were not a lot of mistakes.

The Spurs took control with that opening victory.

They are now in command in the series obviously and they proved they could beat this Thunder team, just in case there was any doubt. If they keep playing like they did in G1 this one could be over in a hurry.

They are a very solid bet at -6 in game 2.
