ATS Matchup Insight | CappersPicks Insider Preview

The Raptors have wins in five of their last six games, with their most recent win tying the franchise record as it was their 47th win of the season, while the Bucks have just one win in their last eight games.

The Raptors are coming off a win over the Pistons which clinched the team’s second Atlantic Division title, and also matched a franchise mark as the team’s 47th win of the season. The team held a comfortable 14-point lead at the break which they promptly gave away in the second half, though they were able to get back in front by the time the final buzzer sounded in a 116-107 victory.

The game marked Toronto’s sixth consecutive game with better than 100 points. DeMar DeRozan paced all scorers with 30 points on 10-of-19 shooting, while Kyle Lowry chipped in 28 points and seven assists.

Now the team heads back home to host Milwaukee in hopes of setting a franchise record for wins. The team also hopes to pull off a season sweep of the Bucks, something the franchise has never done, and is particularly impressive given that the team had lost 11 straight to the Bucks entering the season. They also need to win out if they hope to hold off the Bulls for the No. 3 seed in the East.

As for Milwaukee, they’re set to close out the worst season in franchise history. They come to town having lost 13 straight road games. Head coach Larry Drew had only eight players at his disposal in the team’s last game, a 104-91 loss in Washington on Saturday.

The last time we saw Toronto play on the second night of a back-to-back, they made the trip out to Milwaukee and came away with just a four-point win, failing to cover a 6.5-point spread. Coming off a franchise-best-tying 47th win, there could be a bit of a letdown for a squad that no one predicted would fare this well.

The Raptors need the win to keep pace with Chicago, so don’t expect them to let up should they fall behind early, and that’s going to lead to points. We’ve also recently seen an uptick in points in Raptors games, and after allowing lowly Philadelphia to control the tempo when those teams met, we could see the same here.

The over is 6-0 in the last six meetings between these teams in Toronto, and 5-0 in Toronto’s last five home games.

The over is 6-0 in Toronto’s last six games overall, and 8-2 in their last 10 games played on the second night of a back-to-back.

The play: Over 204
