Milwaukee Bucks vs. L.A. Clippers Preview

Tonight in a non-conference match up in La La Land between a couple of teams with almost identical records the L.A. Clippers (18-28) host the Milwaukee Bucks (19-26). NBA lines have the Clippers as 4-point favorites in this game with a total of 188.5.

In their last games both teams played on Saturday with the Bucks beating the New Jersey Nets 91-81 and the Clippers beating the Charlotte Bobcats 103-88.

Both teams have been mediocre bets this season with the Clippers at 23-22-1 ATS and the Bucks at 21-22-2. Milwaukee is only 1-6-1 ATS in the last 8 meetings in Los Angeles and the home team has covered the spread in the last 4 games between these 2 teams. NBA Betting

The Bucks have won 3 straight and are 5-5 in their last 10 games and the Clippers have won 1 in a row and are 6-4 in their last 10. This season the Clippers are 15-13 at home while the Bucks are only 8-16 on the road. The Clip joint has won 8 straight at the STAPLES Center.

Clippers leading scorer Ben Gordon (24.3 ppg) and Bucks 2nd leading scorer John Salmons (13.8 ppg) are both sidelined tonight because of injuries.

The Bucks have lost 9 of their last 10 games against the Clippers in L.A. and their defense, which ranks 4th in the league in opponents’ points allowed, will have to carry them in this game. Do they have an answer for L.A. PF Blake Griffin (22.6 ppg 12.8 rpg)? Bucks’ C Andrew Bogut (13.3 ppg 11.1 rpg) has to keep him from getting easy buckets inside and pulling down a ton of boards.

Milwaukee cannot get into a high scoring game, as they only rank 30th in the league in scoring. PG Brandon Jennings (17.3 ppg) is back from injury and he will have to give the Bucks some offense tonight.

The Clippers have turned into a great home team and Griffin will have a monster game tonight leading L.A. to a win. The Bucks simply don’t have enough offense to keep up tonight, as the Clippers will win this game and cover the 4-point spread.

Betting Trends

L.A. is 7-1 ATS in their last 8 home games and 3-0-1 ATS in their last 4 games as a favorite of 0.5-4.5 and Milwaukee is 5-2 ATS in their last 7 road games.

Pick: Clippers -4
