Num 3 Orlando Magic vs. Num 2 Boston Celtics vs. 8:05 ET

On Wednesday night, Bookmaker Sportsbook will present a bevy of NBA Playoff betting options for Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Semifinal between the #3 Orlando Magic (64-25, 52-36-1 ATS) and the #2 Boston Celtics (66-24, 46-43-1 ATS). The Magic lead the series 1-0 after Monday’s 95-90 road win and cover as 1.5-point underdogs. The Celtics have not defeated the Magic in their L/3 tries playing two of those games without superstar F Kevin Garnett (knee ligament). Boston also lost Game 1 of their opening round series with the Chicago Bulls, but managed to pull out the series four games to three. The Magic are an outstanding 3-1 SU on the road in these playoffs while the Celtics are a sub-par 3-2 SU at home.

The current Bookmaker NBA betting line for Game 2 has the Celtics set as slim 4-point TD Banknorth Garden favorites. The ‘total’ currently sits at a modest 188 between these two defensive oriented squads. The ‘under’ paid for NBA bettors in Game 1 with the combined output of both clubs reaching just 185 points.

The Magic and superstar C Dwight Howard are some experts’ dark horse selection to win the franchise’s first NBA championship. Orlando rebounded from a tough 1-2 SU start in Round 1 to win their next three games against the Philadelphia 76ers; they won the best-of-seven series 4-2. Howard has led the Magic in PPG (22.6), RPG (16.8), and BPG (2.8). “Superman” has grabbed an impressive 46 rebounds in his L/2 contests alone and 101 in six games of the playoffs. Injury news for the Magic finds G J.J. Redick still in the starting line-up replacing rookie G Courtney Lee who had surgery to repair a fractured sinus and could miss the entire playoffs.

The Magic are 4-4 ATS in the 2009 playoffs covering the spread in each of their L/3 contests, but they’re just 3-10 ATS the L/13 times they squared off against an Atlantic Division opponent. The ‘under’ is 6-4 in Orlando’s L/10 meetings against Boston (19-7 in the Magic’s L/26 games overall) with each of the L/4 contests combining to go under the ‘total’.

The Boston Celtics are a veteran team and must use that to their advantage in Game 2. Why you ask? Because this group of grandpa’s is a very tired bunch after playing seven games with the Bulls, which included seven overtime periods, and having to expend even more energy in Game 1 to shrink a 28-point deficit to three in the final minute. Without the services of Garnett, the Celtics have big problems with depth on their front line. Reserve F Brian Scalabrine was forced to play 27 minutes in Game 1 with Glen “Big Baby” Davis in foul trouble.

The Celtics are 3-4-1 ATS in the playoffs. The ‘over’ is 6-2 for the Celtics as well, but bear in mind, four of those contests went into OT. Expect to see veterans G’s Rajon Rondo and Ray Allen have huge bounce back games for the defending champs in Game 2.

Whether you want action ATS, on the $$-Line, or on the ‘total’, Bookmaker Sportsbook is there for Game 2.
