NBA Betting – Incendiary Celtics Host Streaking Magic

The red-hot Orlando Magic (13-4 SU, -7-1 ATS, 8-9 O/U) have won four straight games in the BetUS Sportsbook while covering the spread in each of the last three games.

Still, the Magic are nowhere as incendiary as the Boston Celtics (16-2 SU, 8-9 ATS, 7-10 O/U), winners of eight consecutive games.

Tonight, BetUS NBA sports betting enthusiasts will see one team’s winning streak come to an emphatic end when the teams meet at Boston’s TD Banknorth Garden.

The Celtics are coming off an 89-84 win over the Charlotte Bobcats on Saturday, covering the spread for NBA sports bettors as a 7.5-point favorite in the BetUS Sportsbook.

Boston is a spectacular 9-1 at hoe this season and 28-2 in its last 30 games dating back to March 26 of last season.

“We’re grinding them out,” said veteran Paul Pierce. “It’s a tough schedule with all these back-to-back games, but it’s going to pay us a favor late in the season when we don’t have as many.”

Pierce led six Celtics in double figures with 19 points against the Bobcats and have seen their overwhelming defense from last season get even better in 2008-09.

The Celtics limited opponents to just 90.3 points per game last season on a league-low 41.9 percent shooting mark from the field and have once again committed themselves to shutting down the opposition, allowing just 90.1 points per game on 40.8 percent shooting this season.

The Magic are coming off a 110-96 win over the Indiana Pacers on Saturday even with starting guards Jameer Nelson and Mickael Pietrus out of the lineup with injuries.

All-star center Dwight Howard went off against the Pacers, scoring 32 points and grabbing 21 rebounds in the victory.

“I have the word dominating written all over my house and I talk about it a lot before every game,” said Howard, who’s averaging 25.8 points, 15.5 rebounds and 3.8 blocks in his last four contests. “I think about dominating the whole game. I’ve got to have that type of mentality every night for our team to be successful.”

NBA Odds

Orlando Magic +8½ -110
Boston Celtics -8½ -110

Over 189½ -110
Under 189½ -110

Analysis: While I like the Boston Celtics to win this game at home, something tells me the Orlando Magic are going to cover the spread by coming with one of their best efforts of the young season in this matchup.

Take the Magic to cover the spread and the Under, NBA betting fanatics.
