Phoenix Suns vs. Golden State Warriors Preview

On the season the Suns are 38-35-2 ATS and they have an O/U record of 34-40-1 and the Warriors are 45-28-1 ATS and they have an O/U record of 34-40.

This season the Warriors are 34-2 at home and the Suns are 17-19 on the road.

In their last games the Warriors beat the L.A. Clippers 110-106 and the Suns lost to the Portland Trailblazers 109-86.

Things don’t look good for the slumping Suns, who with only a few games left are 4-games back of the Oklahoma City Thunder for the last playoff spot in the West. They are also 2.5 games back of the New Orleans Pelicans and are a HUGE betting underdog tonight facing the red-hot Warriors.

The Warriors have already wrapped up the #1 seed in the West and they have won 10 straight games.

Golden State finished up a 4-0 road trip by snapping the Clippers 7-gamewinning streak and they even sat Draymond Green in the game, who may sit tonight as well with a shin injury.

The Suns have lost 4 straight games and they lost badly in their last visit to Golden State. However, at home they did hand the Warriors their first loss of the season.

While the Suns have the league’s 5th highest scoring team (103.5 ppg) they have failed to score over 100 points in their last 5 games. Tonight’s game is not a good match up for them, as they rank 26th in the league in opponents’ points per game and face a Golden State team that is the highest scoring team in the NBA.

The Suns have played 9 of their last 10 games without Brandon Knight, who is questionable for tonight’s game, and C Alex Lin is out with a broken nose.

It is no secret the Suns have to try to contain Stephen Curry and Klay Thomson, who are the top 2 scorers for the Warriors and combined for 52 points in the win over the Clippers.

[dfads params=’groups=63741&limit=1&return_javascript=0′]

Suns leading scorer Eric Bledsoe only had 12 points in the loss to the Blazers and he has to have a good game tonight for the Suns to have any chance to pull off the big upset.
