The so-called ‘Big Three’ take the ‘New Two’ as the Miami Heat play host to the New York Knicks in the final regular season game between these teams.

The Heat lead the Southeast Division entering play on Sunday, and have won eight of their last ten games. LeBron James and Dwyane Wade are currently second and fourth in the league in scoring respectively. James is averaging 26.2 points per contest in his first season in South Beach, while Wade is averaging 25.5 points per game while shooting 49.8 percent from the field. Chris Bosh, the third in the triumvirate of the ‘Big Three’, is 18.4 points per game while also grabbing 8.1 rebounds per outing.

The Knickerbockers added Carmelo Anthony and Chauncey Billups to the fold on Wednesday as part of a 12-player, 3-team trade with Denver and Minnesota. The Knicks also acquired veteran swingman Corey Brewer from the Timberwolves as part of the deal, and he should be in the lineup on Sunday.

Miami has won two out of three so far head-to-head this season. In mid-December, they won by 22 in New York, as the ‘Big Three’ combined for 84 points. They have split the last two games with the home team winning each time.

Anthony brings a 25.2 points per game scoring average with him to the Knicks. His first game Wednesday saw the forward put up 27 points and 10 rebounds. The Heat are battling for the top spot in the Eastern Conference, while the Knicks are looking to make a late push against Atlanta for the fifth place spot in the conference. If the Heat falter and fail to win the Southeast, they could see the Knicks in the first round of the playoffs.

Recent Trends:
NY are 16-6-1 ATS in their last 23 road games.
Under is 8-3 in NY last 11 road games.
NY are 9-4 ATS in their last 13 vs. NBA Southeast.
MIA are 2-8 ATS in their last 10 vs. NBA Atlantic.
Over is 7-3 in MIA last 10 vs. Eastern Conference.
Over is 16-7 in MIA last 23 overall.

Matt’s Free Prediction: Heat – It will be a much different look for the Knicks as opposed to the first three contests, but the Big Three should help the Heat come away with the victory. The Knicks need to find a way to slow down Wade specifically, as he has scored 100 points in three games himself.
