The Milwaukee Bucks (25-38) will play their second game in as many days as they take on Eastern Conference leaders the Boston Celtics (46-16) at TD Garden in Bean Town on Sunday.

The Bucks have had high hopes after going 46-36 last season and taking Atlanta to seven games in the first round of the playoffs, but injuries and inconsistency have Milwaukee stuck in 10th place in the Eastern Conference.

They played nearly six weeks without points leader Brandon Jennings – and are 5-13 since his return – and drew closer to eighth-place Indiana on Wednesday with a 110-90 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers. Jennings and Earl Boykins each scored 18 points to lead the Bucks. It was the Bucks second consecutive win after throttling Washington 95-76 on Tuesday.

Milwaukee entered their game Saturday at home against the Sixers just one game behind ninth-place Charlotte and are 9-22 away from the Bradley Center.

Not good as they face a Celtics team that is an impressive 27-6 home.

Boston’s offense has gotten sharper since the trade for newcomers Troy Murphy and Sasha Pavlovic. The Celtics had averaged 103.4 points and shot 42.2 percent from 3-point range during their five game-winning streak. However, the Celts have lost their last two including a 108-103 loss to the visiting Clippers, and an 89-86 edging by Philadelphia on Friday in the City of Brotherly Love.

The Sixers led by 10 points and controlled the Eastern Conference-leading Celtics for most of the fourth quarter. The Celtics missed eight straight baskets over a six-minute span late in the fourth to lose just their eighth conference game of the season.

Nenad Krstic had a double double with 16 points and 15 rebounds for the Celtics, who finished shooting 41 percent from the floor.

Boston has won both earlier meetings this season with the Bucks, winning a 105-103 OT thriller back in November, before posting an 89-83 win in Milwaukee just seven days ago. Boston’s Paul Pierce lead the charge in both bouts, scoring 12 of his 28 points in overtime to reach 20,000 points in his career while adding a key steal with 27 seconds left in the teams’ first meeting, before netting 23 points in their last.

Recent Trends:
Under is 9-3 in MIL last 12 Sun. games.
Under is 20-7 in MIL last 27 overall.
Over is 12-5 in BOS last 17 home games.
Underdog is 7-1-1 ATS in the last 9 meetings.
MIL are 19-7-1 ATS in the last 27 meetings.

Matt’s Free Prediction: Celtics– The Celtics may have punched their playoff ticket, but will want to stay ahead of Chicago who is just ½ game shy of challenging for top honors in the East.
