Golden State Warriors vs. Memphis Grizzlies Preview

On the season the Warriors are 16-7 ATS and they have an O/U record of 9-14 and the Grizzlies are 12-11 ATS and they have an O/U record of 13-9-1.

This season the Grizzlies are 11-1 at home and the Warriors are 13-1 on the road.

In their last games the Warriors beat the New Orleans Hornets 128-122 in OT and the Grizzlies beat the Philadelphia 76ers 120-115 also in OT.

To say the Warriors are hot would be an understatement, as they have won 16 straight, which is a franchise record, and they are off to the 3rd best 23 game start in NBA history. However, they face a tough test tonight facing a Grizzlies team that has won 4 straight and is tied with the Warriors for the fewest home losses (1).

[dfads params=’groups=63727&limit=1&return_javascript=0′]

The Warriors have had one of the league’s highest scoring offenses in the last few seasons, they rank 7th in ppg so far this season, but they are an elite team now with their defense, which ranks 2nd in opponents’ points allowed.

The Warriors won the last 2 games facing the Grizzlies and before than they had lost 11 straight against them.

The Grizzlies are also legit on both ends of the floor ranking 4th in opponents points allowed and 10th in scoring. At home this season they are averaging nearly 10 points per game more than on the road.

The inside D has to be a concern for the Warriors, as they are without their 2 big guys in Andrew Bogut and David Lee, who are injured, and face a great frontcourt duo in Marc Gasol and Zach Randolph. Mike Conley scored a career high 36 points in the win over the 76ers and if the Memphis G can score the Griz are tough to beat, as it opens up the lane for the big guys.

While the Warriors have to play solid inside D the Griz have to play solid on the perimeter facing the G duo of Stephen Curry and Klay Thomson.

The Grizzlies have won 4 straight, but their last 2 games both went to OT and that was facing 2 of the weaker teams in the league in the Hornets and the 76ers.
