Dallas Mavericks vs. Golden State Warriors Preview

On the season the Mavs are 24-25-1 ATS and they have an O/U record of 22-27-1 and the Warriors are 30-15-1 ATS and they have an Under record of 23-23.

This season the Warriors are 22-2 at home and the Mavs are 18-9 on the road.

In their last games the Warriors beat the Sacramento Kings 121-96 and the Warriors beat the Minnesota Timberwolves 100-94.

In mid-December the Warriors beat the Mavs in Dallas by 7 points and at home, where they have the best home record in the NBA, they are an 8.5-point favorite. The Mavs have won 3 straight, but none of those wins came against teams that have a winning record.

The Warriors have THE best G duo in the league in Klay Thomson and Stephan Curry, who are combining to average more than 45 points per game.

However, one of the main reasons the Warriors have the league’s best record is their ball movement. They lead the NBA in assists per game and when they have over 30 per game they are 18-1 on the season.

The Warriors have won 4 straight over the Mavs and in the match up earlier this season in Dallas Curry went for 29 points and Thomson went for 25.

This game should see some offensive fireworks, as the Warriors are the highest scoring team in the league and the Mavs rank 2nd in ppg.

Rajon Rondo will miss this game with an eye injury and they won their first game without him in the last game.

The Mavs are led in scoring by Monta Ellis, who us averaging 24.7 ppg on over 51% shooting in his last 4 games. He and Dirk Nowitzki have to play well tonight and the Mavs may need to light up the scoreboard since their D only ranks 22nd in the league in opponents’ points allowed.

Tyson Chandler is the man in the middle for the Mavs and while he is averaging in double figures and points his defense in the paint will be key tonight.

The Warriors face the Eastern Conference’s best team in their next game in the Atlanta Hawks.

NBA Betting Trends

* Dallas is 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games overall.
* Dallas is 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games vs. a team with a winning S.U. record.
* Dallas has an Under record of 5-1 in their last 6 road games.
* Golden State is 33-16-2 ATS in their last 51 home games.
* Golden State is 28-10-1 ATS in their last 39 games following a S.U. win.

4* Cappers NBA Free Pick

The Mavs have not been solid in facing winning teams, but the underdog has covered in 4 of the last 5 games between these 2 teams and the road team has covered in 8 of the last 10 meetings. I think the Mavs will lose, but they will give the Warriors a good game and they will cover the 8.5-point spread.
