The Los Angeles Clippers will tray and avoid a season-sweep at the hands of the Dallas Mavericks when the two teams clash for the fourth time this Friday night at the American Airlines Arena. Tip-off is set for 8:30 p.m. (ET) and the game will be available on NBA League Pass.
Los Angeles has long since been eliminated from the playoffs, but it continues to play tough down the stretch with five wins in its last 10 games. The Clippers are coming off a 112-108 loss to Oklahoma City on Wednesday night as a 10-point road underdog, but they beat the Thunder 98-92 as a five-point road underdog this past Saturday. They are 31-48 straight-up for the year and 37-41-1 against the spread.
There is a solid nucleus of talent on this team with Eric Gordon, Blake Griffin, and Mo Williams. Gordon and Griffin are each averaging 22.5 points a game. Griffin also leads the team in rebounds with 12.2 a game and Williams leads in assists with 5.7. LA is averaging 98.8 points a game, but giving up 101.4. 
Dallas comes into this game in the midst of a four-game losing streak, including Wednesday’s 104-96 loss to Denver as a four-point home favorite. The Mavericks are currently in third-place in the West with an overall record of 53-25 SU and 40-36-2 ATS. They have a one-game lead over Oklahoma City in the standings with four games left to play.
Tyson Chandler has missed the last two games and is listed as questionable for this game after hurting his back in Saturday’s loss to Golden State. As the team’s leading rebounder, if he cannot go, look for Dirk Nowitzki and Shawn Merion to pick up the slack under the boards. Nowitzki leads the team in scoring with 23 points a game followed by Jason Terry, who is averaging 15.9 points.
Head-to head, the Mavericks have won the last nine games SU including three victories this season. Dallas is 6-0 ATS in the last six games and the total has gone ‘over’ in three of the last four. This game is a perfect opportunity for the Mavs to snap their skid, which they take full advantage of with a big win.
