NBA Betting parlay – Mavericks vs. Grizzlies, Bucks vs. Nuggets

NBA Picks Wednesday – Feb 5th

The first Wednesday in February is loaded with opportunities to bet on the NBA, but I have narrowed down my plays to a pair of contests that come together perfectly to form this week’s ‘NBA Wednesday Parlay’. [ad-4468020]

The following is a brief look at both games based on lines by BetOnline.

Game 1: Dallas Mavericks vs. Memphis Grizzlies

Pointspread: Memphis -3
Total Line: 189
ATS Matchup Stats | NBA Gambling Insight!

Dallas has won three of its last four games straight-up to move into eighth place in the Western Conference standings at 28-21 SU overall.

It continues to put points on the board at a high rate with an average of 113.6 points in its last five contests as opposed to an already inflated season average of 104.6 points a game which is ranked seventh in the NBA. Dirk Nowitzki has been leading the way with 57 points in his last two games.

The Grizzlies recent six-game SU winning streak came to a sudden halt in an 86-77 loss to Oklahoma City this past Monday as eight-point road underdogs.

They have now failed to cover in their last two games and remain a good team to go against considering an overall record of just 10-16 ATS at home as compared to the Mavericks’ 16-8 ATS record on the road this year.

Adding more fuel to this pick, Dallas comes into this Southwest Division matchup with a 5-1 record ATS in the last six meetings.

Game 2: Milwaukee Bucks vs. Denver Nuggets

Pointspread: Denver -12
Total Line: 207.5
ATS Matchup Stats | NBA Gambling Insight!

The Bucks are clearly the worst team in the NBA with just nine SU wins on the year.

What makes them so attractive to go against this Wednesday night despite such a high spread is the fact they are coming off a 101-98 victory over New York as eight-point home underdogs this past Monday night.

Milwaukee has not won SU back-to-back games all season long and it only covered the spread twice this season following one of those rare SU wins.

Denver is currently 3.5 games out of the final playoff spot in the West and in no position to lose games such as this. It is coming off a big 116-115 win over the Clippers this past Monday as a 1.5-point home underdog to improve to 3-2 both SU and ATS in its last five games.

The Nuggets have now covered in five of their last eight home games.

Past trends in this inter-conference matchup also favor Denver with a perfect 6-0 record SU and a 5-1 ATS record in the last six meetings.

Look for the Nuggets to extend this streak to seven while covering the points at home to round-out the back end of this Wednesday’s NBA parlay play.
