This first round series in this year’s NBA Eastern Conference playoffs shifts back to Cleveland for game five of the match-up between the #1 seed Cavaliers and the #8 seed Bulls. Cleveland currently leads the series 3-1.

Chicago was able to grind out a 108-106 victory in game three get their first win of this series, but Lebron James and the Cavaliers reasserted themselves in game four with a dominating 121-98 win. Now faced with the prospect of returning to Cleveland in a 1-3 hole in this series, it will take a monumental effort to stave off elimination in tonight’s game five.

The Bulls should walk into Quicken Loans Arena tonight with their heads held high as they have given the Cavaliers everything they have. The only problem is it was not nearly enough to compete with this team.

Through four games, Derrick Rose has averaged 25.8 points and 7.5 assists, Luol Deng has averaged 17 points and 4.8 rebounds, and Joakim Noah has averaged 16.5 points and 14 rebounds including 21 boards in Sunday’s loss. Online Sports Betting at Sportsbook

They have averaged 21.5 points from their other two starters; Kirk Hinrich and Taj Gibson as well as 22.3 points off the bench. All of this has added up to a two point win and three losses by an average of 15.3 points.

Cleveland has not looked their best in this series, especially in game three’s loss, but they are so much better than Chicago, it really has not mattered. When things got tight, James just elevated his game to a higher level and got the job done on his own. In Sunday’s game four he had 37 points, 12 rebounds, and 11 assists and went 6-9 from three point range.

For this series he has averaged 35 points, nine rebounds, and eight assists in the four games. Antawn Jamison and Mo Williams have averaged 18 points each and Anderson Varejao has averaged 7.3 boards per game, but this series has been all about James. He will need better support from everyone around him as these playoffs wear on, but right now he can single handedly determine the outcome of game five.

With his team back home with a commanding 3-1 series lead, tonight should be show time for LeBron James. The only person that has been able to slow him down has been himself by shooting the ball poorly. Look for the Cavs to end this series tonight in a dominating fashion.
