NBA Playoffs odds – Portland Trailblazers at Phoenix Suns, Game 3 preview

Team records:
Phoenix: 54-28 SU, 48-32-2 ATS
Portland: 50-32 SU, 45-35-2 ATS

Game 3 of the Suns-Blazers series gets underway Thursday night. Phoenix evened the series at one game apiece with Sunday’s victory, and the Blazers proved life without Brandon Roy might be tougher than they thought.

Matchup: Trailblazers at Suns Game 3 (Series tied 1-1)

Time: Thursday at 10:00 p.m. ET
Venue: Rose Garden
Spread: Portland -1
Over/Under: 204.5

Losing Game 1 was just a small set back for the Suns, who have won 13 of their last 16 games. Phoenix wasn’t having any of the Trailblazers in Game 2; the team looked practically unstoppable in a 119-90 victory.

The Suns have also covered four of their last five games against the spread; they are 4-2 ATS in their last six road games.

Jason Richardson topped the score sheet for Phoenix, racking up 29 points and adding six rebounds for good measure. The Suns are 27-4 this season when Richardson nets at least 20 points. As usual, Steve Nash played the role of set-up man; he dished out 16 assists and added 13 points for yet another double-double.

Grant Hill bounced back from a brutal four-point performance in Game 1 to score 20 points on 10-11 shooting. Online Sports Betting at Sportsbook

There is some slight cause for concern, though, that Amare Stoudemire had another quiet night; he’s scored just 18 points in each of the first two games of this series.

The Trailblazers lost for the third time in six games. Winning in Game 1 without the injured Brandon Roy was nice, but it was also quite unlikely. The loss dropped the Blazers to 5-5 in their last 10 games against the spread. Portland is 6-3-1 against the spread in its last 10 home games, however.

The Portland offense had a tough day at the office in Game 2. The Trailblazers shot just 38 percent on the night, an their leading scorer was Martell Maxwell, who picked up 16 off the bench.

After a steling 31-point effort in Game 1, Andre Miller scored just 12 this time around.

LaMarcus Aldridge, who is being heavily counted on to pick up the offensive slack, managed just 11 points and four rebounds in the loss.

Suns vs. Blazers Free NBA Playoff Pick

The Blazers deserve praise for winning Game 1, on the road no less, without their best player. But the Suns have been one of the NBA’s better team over the past month or two, and they proved it in the win on Sunday. Hitting the road won’t faze Phoenix, which is playing with a chip on its shoulder now.

Bet on the Suns.
