The Raptors certainly gave their supporters a headache in Game 5, but to a man they’ll surely be fine with that after the team came away with a win. The Raptors led by as many as 26 points in the third quarter of that contest, but the Nets came back to tie the game in the fourth quarter, only to have the Raptors deliver the dagger moments later.

Kyle Lowry really came alive in the latter stages of that game to bail out the Raptors. He put together a statement game, scoring 36 points on 11-of-19 shooting, knocking down six of his nine shots from beyond the arc, including some big threes down the stretch, adding six assists.

His performance overshadowed a solid contest from All-Star DeMar DeRozan. DeRozan put up 23 points, adding six rebounds, five assists, three steals, and a block.

As for the Nets, they had to be happy to see Joe Johnson come back to life. After a disappointing Game 6, Johnson bounced back with a 30-point effort, knocking down 13 of 23 shots, including 3-of-6 from beyond the arc, filling out his stat line with five rebounds, three assists, a steal, and a block.

The Raptors figured something out in Game 4, exiting the Barclays Center with a renewed sense of swagger about them. With their foots on the throat of the Nets, expect the team to look to close this game out on the road, knowing that they can win in this building, and the Nets’ home crowd offering little in the way of support for the home side.

Additionally, with the exception of an outlying Game 4, points have become easy to come by when these teams meet. The Raptors have gotten more and more comfortable as the playoffs have progressed, and now seem to have found a groove, and with the Nets playing with their backs against the wall, expect them to play with a sense of urgency from start to finish.

The Nets are 0-5 ATS in their last five home games, and the road team is 4-0-1 ATS in the last five meetings between these teams.

The over is 5-1 in the last five meetings between these teams, and 10-3 in the Raptors’ last 13 games overall.

The over is 16-5 in the Nets’ last 21 games played on a Friday, and 5-0 in the Raptors’ last five games played on a Friday.

The play: Toronto +5, Over 191
