Crawford has been a big part of the Clippers play as of late, averaging 22.5 points in his last two games.

For the Warriors, Klay Thompson scored 21 points and David Lee recorded 18 points, but it couldn’t help overcome Golden State’s 14 turnovers.

The Warriors did however make it interesting, closing the gap to just three points early in the fourth quarter but could not get any closer, as the Clippers pushed the lead out to as much as 11 before holding off a late Golden State charge.

Forward Draymond Green made his second straight start on Tuesday for the Warriors, and recorded a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds.

On Thursday, Los Angeles can clinch the first-round best-of-seven series if they can continue to find a way to contain Golden State All-Star Stephen Curry, who had a terrible game five, committing eight of the Warriors turnovers.

He finished the game with just 17 points after racking up 33 points in the Warriors game four triumph last weekend.

Meanwhile, the Clippers fed off the emotion of the home crowd in game five, as well as Jordan’s big time play .

Nevertheless, the Warriors are by no means out of the series and will try to recapture the chemistry that worked so well for them in their game one and four wins.

Part of that will rely on the play of forward Andre Iguodala, who is averaging 20 points in the last two games after putting up 7.7 in the first three contests.

Notes

1. Warriors F Andre Iguodala is averaging 20 points in the last two games after putting up 7.7 in the first three contests.
2. Los Angeles G Jamal Crawford, who will reportedly be named the NBA’s Sixth Man of the Year, averaged 22.5 points in the last two games.
3. Golden State F Draymond Green made his second straight start on Tuesday and recorded a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds.

Matt’s Free Pick : Warriors –

Golden State had their chances in game five, but turned the ball over way too many times.

Now, they return home to one of the toughest places to play in the NBA, and a place where the Warriors are sure to push this one to a game seven.

Warriors 114, Clippers 105
