OK, Doc Rivers. Here’s what you’re up against on Wednesday night.

Your team is down 3-1 to the Miami Heat, who are younger, stronger and brimming with confidence after beating Boston in Boston on Monday night. Your team is not only old, but old and looking very tired. The heart of your defense (Kendrick Perkins) was removed a few months ago and the players you got in return are next to useless.

The only real advantage you have (point guard) was sanded down when Rajon Rondo suffered a dislocated left elbow, rendering him a one-armed player.

Making matters worse, your team needs rest and there was only a one-day respite from Monday’s overtime loss. And everyone has had to get on a plane for two-plus hours for the flight to Miami, where the Celtics were run out of in Game 1 and 2.

Other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play?

It appears over for Boston, and the end for the Big Three that produced one NBA title (2008), another trip to The Finals (2010) and another run to the Eastern Conference championship (2009). With a strike/lockout looming, Kevin Garnett thinking about quitting anyway and Director of Basketball Operations Danny Ainge always ready to make a deal, chances are Wednesday night will be the last hurrah for this grouping.

Miami, meanwhile, is enjoying Boston’s predicament. The Heat might not have their own Big Three (Two and a half Men is closer to the truth), but LeBron James and Dwyane Wade appear to have more than enough juice to put this current Celtics team to bed.

If there is indeed a new era in the NBA, it may be starting Wednesday night.

NBA Trends:

BOS are 2-6 ATS in their last 8 road games.
Under is 19-8-1 in BOS last 28 overall.
MIA are 2-6 ATS in their last 8 Wed. games.
MIA are 9-4 ATS in their last 13 vs. NBA Atlantic.

BEST BET: It won’t be Laker-Mavericks bad, but everything is in place for the Heat to get the job done and chill out while they wait for the Bulls-Hawks series to end. The Celtics appear to have no answers for Wade or James, and if they do have those answers, now might be a good time to unveil them.

For Boston fans, gird yourselves for more turnovers and more Heat dunks.
