The Raptors looked out of Friday night’s game at times in the fourth quarter, but the team continued to battle through to the final whistle, and appeared they would have a shot to tie the game before the officiating problems that have plagued this series again reared their ugly head.

The takeaway from Game 4 is that these teams are clearly very evenly matched, with each of the three games getting decided in the fourth quarter. Many wondered why Raptors point guard Kyle Lowry was left on the court late in the game, as he was visibly bothered by a leg injury after banging knees with another player earlier in the contest.

By the end of the game, Lowry also had a busted lip, and a bruise on his elbow, yet, ever the warrior, he battled through those injuries to help his team through to the end. There are no indications that there is any concern about Lowry’s status in the lead up to Game 4. He finished Game 3 with 15 points and four assists in 38 minutes before fouling out.

Fellow guard DeMar DeRozan had another 30-point game on Friday, knocking down eight of his 22 shots from the floor, and getting to the free throw line 15 times, while chipping in five rebounds, five assists, and two steals. His counterpart in the series, Joe Johnson, has been hot himself, averaging 23.7 points in keying several strong runs by the Nets in Games 2 and 3. He is shooting 60.5 percent from the floor in the series.

This series seems destined for a seventh game given how evenly matched these two sides are.

It’s time for the Raptors to hold up their end of the bargain in this one, and given how motivated they came out of Game 3 following their late run, it would be hard to imagine anything short of an A-effort from the team on Sunday.

Additionally, points have been easy to come by for these sides, so don’t be surprised to see another game that soars comfortably over the total.

The Raptors are 17-5-2 ATS in their last 24 games following a loss, while the Nets are 0-4 ATS in their last four home games.

The over is 9-2 in the Raptors last 11 games overall, and it is 5-0 in the last five meetings between these teams in Brooklyn.

The play: Toronto +4, Over 192
