Golden State Warriors vs. Houston Rockets Preview

On the season the Warriors are 53-41-1 ATS and they have an O/U record of 41-53-1 and the Rockets are 57-40 ATS and they have an O/U record of 49-48.

This season the Rockets are 36-13 at home and the Warriors are 33-14 on the road.

In Game 3 of this series the Warriors beat the Rockets 115-80.

To say the Rockets have their backs up against the wall in this series would be an understatement. They are down 3-0 in the series and were totally embarrassed in Game 3 at home losing by 35 points.

Razor Ray's Picks

No team has ever come back from a 3-0 deficit to win a playoff series, but the Rockets were down 3-1 to the Clippers in the conference semis and advanced.

No surprise the Warriors are a 4.5-point road betting favorite after the Game 3 thrashing. Golden State got another big game from Stephen Curry, 40 points, and the Rockets were ice cold shooting 33.7% from the floor.

Curry has already set the post-season record for 3-pointers made and the Rockets simply have had no answer for him. They played Games 1 and 2 close and since they have no answer for Curry their offense needs to play much better, especially James Harden, who was only 3/16 in Game 3.

Dwight Howard went for 14 points and had 14 boards in the Game 3 loss, but he has to key on playing better inside on D, as in Game 3 Houston was killed on the glass and they gave up 17 offensive boards while they only pulled down 9.In the game the Warriors scored 58 points in the paint and if anything close to that happens again there will not be a Game 5 in this series.

Howard was the only player for Houston in Game 3 that scored in double figures and shot at least 50% from the field. Josh Smith, Harden, and reserve Corey Brewer combined for 46 points, but on 14/45 shooting.

The Rockets have lost all 7 games to the Warriors this season.

The Warriors may get the W and close out this series in Houston tonight, but the Rockets will not roll over. I expect them to play much better in this game and keep it close at least covering the spread.
