The Heat claimed Game 2 in the series on Thursday by a score of 94-82. Not surprisingly it was LeBron James leading the way. He scored a game-high 22 points on 9-of-18 shooting, filling out his stat line with four rebounds, three assists, two steals, and a block.

Chris Bosh added 18 points on 7-of-13 shooting, racking up six rebounds and three blocks. Dwyane Wade had an off night in the shooting department, hitting on just four of 11 shots from the field for 14 points, but he did fill out his stat line with seven assists, seven rebounds, two steals, and a block.
Nets point guard Deron Williams was held scoreless in the game for the first time in his postseason career, missing all nine of his shots from the field, and failing to get to the free throw line. Kevin Garnett had one of his better postseason games of the year, even if he did score only four points. Garnett had 12 boards, five at the offensive end, adding three assists and three steals.

Lost in the box score was a solid outing by Mirza Teletovic, who set a Nets franchise record by knocking down six three-pointers, and leading the team in scoring with 20 points. With that loss, the Nets have now fallen to the Heat by a combined 33 points in the first two games of this series after winning each of the four regular season meetings between the teams.
The Heat are rolling along right now, and after two decisive wins at home, they’ll look to keep their foot on the throttle in Game 3. The Nets will surely bring an A-effort in what is essentially a must-win game, but the Heat are going to want to make a statement.
Additionally, points have been hard to come by in this series, with both sides playing responsibly at their own end. The total has come down a few points since the opener, but it still feels a little high given what we’ve seen from both sides thus far, not to mention a pair of easy unders in Games 1 and 2.
