Meanwhile, San Antonio (30-8) pushed its winning streak to five with a 101-95 triumph at New Orleans on Monday.

Veteran Tony Parker led the way with 27 points and seven assists while Tim Duncan added 18 points and nine rebounds for the Spurs, who became the NBA’s first 30-win team.

Sniper Manu Ginobili also returned from a two-game absence and scored 14 points, as the Spurs rallied from a 10-point deficit in the third to take the lead entering the final quarter.

Holding a slim 97-93 advantage over teh shorthanded Pelicans, Parker ‘s layup to with 43 seconds left, helped San Antonio seal the deal.

Forward Al-Farouq Aminu hauled in a game-high 13 rebounds to help the Pelicans match San Antonio on the glass 41-41.

Matt’s Prediction:

New Orleans was without several key players when the Spurs struggled to come from behind, while the Jazz flashed some serious offensive flare with their spanking of Denver.

Still, there is no category that Utah does better in than the Spurs, who will definitely have the advantage of home court and rested starters in this one.

Spurs 106, Jazz 98
