Free NBA Playoffs Picks: 2015 Finals Matchup Future Odds

Betting on NBA Futures?

As this being written we are in the middle of betting on the NBA conference semifinals but no team is down more than 1-0 in their current series.

Sure the odds might skew a little bit to those teams that have an early series lead but not so much as to make other wagers impossible to fathom.

Golden State vs. Cleveland is still the most likely scenario but with Kevin Love out the Cavs chances do take a hit (and they dropped their opening game against the Bulls).

Here are the three matchups I would recommend getting down on…if this kind of betting is your thing.

The sooner you bet the better value you can get, and you don’t even have to pick the winner.

Washington vs. Golden State

NBA Finals Matchup Odds:  17/2

The Warriors were the top team during the regular season and have yet to lose in the playoffs so it is hardly a shock to project them into the Finals.

Washington also has yet to lose in these playoffs and their backcourt of Bradley Beal and John Wall is really peaking right now.

Throw in a vet with championship experience like Paul Pierce and you have a team that can, and maybe already has, outplayed its expectations.

Now is the time to strike on this one if you are so inclined. The value will only drop.

Chicago vs. Golden State

Odds:  11/2

The Bulls are healthy now and even though they let the Bucks string out their series they have the potential to go all the way.

They also have a fantastic backcourt with Derrick Rose and Jimmy Butler, with even more upfront thanks to Pau Gasol and Joakim Noah.

Their big challenge is that they have to get past LeBron and Co. To reach the Finals and even without Love that is going to be no small task.

At the beginning of the season they were among the favourites in the East and now they have rejoined that group.

All the same reasons to pick them apply.

Healthy is their biggest achilles heel.

Washington vs. Los Angeles

Odds:  45/1

It is looking more and more like a team without LeBron James is going to represent the Eastern Conference in the Finals.

If that winds up being the case I see no reason why it couldn’t be Washington.

They match up well with Chicago and their ability to win on the road in the playoffs becomes somewhat of an equalizing factor as they will not have home court advantage against any projected opponents in the Eastern Conference Finals.

In the West the Clippers just put everyone in the league on notice by whipping the Rockets in game one of their series, without Chris Paul.

They need their point guard back if they want to make a Finals run but they are definitely showing a lot in these playoffs thus far.
