Sacramento

The Kings would be lost without DeMarcus Cousins. He proved that once again on Sunday when he scored 28 points and grabbed 12 rebounds to go along with a buzzer beating jump shot in the Kings 85-83 victory over Phoenix.

Sacramento will attempt to win back-to-back games for the first time since back in November.

The Kings are also dealing with being the center of multiple rumors as the all star break approaches. Will the likelihood of some of their players being traded away, there are also rumors swirling that Tyrone Corbin could be fired. The name that keeps popping up as his potential replacement is George Karl.

Cousins was upset when asked about the potential coaching change following his game winning shot on Sunday.

After taking offense to being against the hiring, Cousins refused to answer any more questions from reporters. While the Kings sit 9.5 games out of a playoff spot, these distractions are not helping them grow as a team or helping to build and develop their younger guys.

Sacramento knocked off Chicago 103-88 back on November 20th. Chicago was missing Derrick Rose and Pau Gasol in that contest.

Chicago

The Bulls may be feeling a bit of pressure from the Cleveland Cavaliers now. After seeing Cleveland surge to a 12 game winning streak and jump them in the standings, Chicago has shown signs of struggles as of late. After dropping 3 straight, they finally got back in the win column with a route of the Pelicans. Last time out, they struggled against the Magic, but ultimately found a way to pull off a W in the end.

With the all star break fast approaching, they’ll get their chance at Cleveland later this week. For now, Rose and company must focus on not looking past the Sacramento Kings.

If Chicago wants any hope of improving their seed in the East, beating sub .500 teams is something they must do. Currently, Chicago is 18-9 vs. these types of opponents, but like the game against Orlando, they’ve shown signs of struggling against the weaker teams. They’ll need to avoid playing down to their opponent again on Tuesday.

Another thing Chicago needs to improve on is their play at home. With just a 13-11 S.U. home record, they Bulls must take advantage of home court down the stretch of the season.

NBA Handicapping Trends:

  • Kings are 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games following a ATS win.
  • Kings are 2-5 ATS in their last 7 vs. NBA Central.
  • Bulls are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games following a ATS loss.
  • Bulls are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 vs. Western Conference.

Free 4* NBA Pick: Chicago -10

With Rudy Gay and Darren Collison both questionable for Sacramento, the Kings are in trouble. They already have enough internal problems going on and do not need their best players missing. Regardless of whether or not those two play, Chicago comes out and makes a statement on Tuesday.

Chicago 111, Sacramento 91

Rose has a big game and the Bulls cruise to a double digit victory.
