The Timberwolves could be receiving an unexpected boost to their lineup with Ricky Rubio now listed as questionable for Monday’s contest. Rubio has been sidelined since November 7th. Meanwhile, the Mavs will be without PG Rajon Rondo, who is out with a orbital fracture to his left eye.

Minnesota

While it won’t make a difference as far as the season is concerned, the return of PG Ricky Rubio will give the Timberwolves a much needed boost as they look to build some of their younger players and develop them for the coming seasons. Rubio went down with an ankle injury in the beginning of the season, but has finally healed and is ready to return to the lineup.

Minnesota is just 2-8 in their last 10 and have dropped 7 of their last 8. In their most recent outing, they gave Cleveland all they could handle, but allowed Lebron James and company to pull away in what looks like a lopsided loss. Andrew Wiggins gave the Timberwolves management a reason to smile though as he looked flawless in a 33 point performance. Wiggins is the main centerpiece to the Timberwolves’ future.

The injuries continue to pile up for Minnesota as Mo Williams and Zach LaVine were both out on Saturday. Williams is nursing a hip injury, while LaVine is battling an ankle injury. Both are listed as questionable for Monday night.

On the road this season, Minnesota is just 4-20 S.U. They are 11-12-1 ATS in those 24 games.

Dallas

When Dallas acquired PG Rajon Rondo, they were hoping he could be the pilot to the offense. With him now out, Monta Ellis steps in and attempts to fill that role on Monday night. Ellis scored 25 and dished out 13 assists in the Mavericks victory over Orlando last time out.

The Mavericks looked to put the brakes to a rare 2 game home losing streak when they welcome in Minnesota on Monday night. Dallas has dropped decisions to the Chicago Bulls and Memphis Grizzlies on their home floor.

While they look to put an end to the home losses, they at least can be happy about not letting their past 4 game losing streak snowball into something more. After dropped 4 straight for the first time all season, Dallas responded with two road victories over Miami and Orlando.

At home this season, Dallas is averaging an astounding 108.8 points a game. They are 14-8 S.U.

Bettors are not sure what to expect with the return of Ricky Rubio for Minnesota. Odds are, he is going to make a giant impact offensively and will definitely make Minnesota a much better team. Minnesota should stay in this one and give Dallas all they can handle.
