Minnesota

The Timberwolves are trying to avoid setting the franchise record for most consecutive losses. They have lost 15 straight and the franchise record is 18. Throughout their losing streak there has been one bring spot. Andrew Wiggins. Over the last ten games Wiggins is averaging 21.0 points per game on 49.4% shooting.

Minnesota has seven players on their roster that are hurt and it has really affected their play. During the losing streak the Timberwolves are allowing 108.3 points per game and have allowed their opponents to score 100+ points a remarkable 14 times.

Shooting guard Kevin Martin is leading the team in scoring with 20.4 points per game, but has been out due to injury. The Timberwolves are one of the worst road teams in the league with a 2-15 record. As a team they are only averaging 98.3 points per game which ranks 21st in the league.

However, when everyone is healthy the team has chemistry. They rank 11th overall in the league in assists with 22.3.

Last game the Timberwolves lost to San Antonio 108-93, but there was one positive. Minnesota set a franchise record from the free-throw line by going 26 for 26. Coach Flip Saunders is still trying to keep his guys motivated by preaching to them that this losing streak is personal.

Indiana

The Pacers are coming off a 93-92 loss to the 76ers where David West led all scorers with 28 points and Roy Hibbert led in rebounds with 13. Despite the injury to all-star Paul George, the Pacers are still one of the best defensive teams in the league. They only allow 96.7 points per game which ranks second overall.

With David West and Roy Hibbert being asked to step up to compensate for the loss of Paul George, George Hill has also stepped up. Hill has missed the past six games with a groin injury, but could possibly return Tuesday night. He is leading the Pacers in scoring with 14.2 per contest.

In order for the Pacers to hand the Timberwolves their 16 consecutive loss they must rebound the basketball and contain Andrew Wiggins.

NBA Handicapping Tips:

  • Timberwolves are 19-7-1 ATS in their last 27 games following a double-digit loss at home.
  • Pacers are 0-5-1 ATS in their last six games playing on two days rest.
  • Pacers are 1-4 ATS in their last five Tuesday games.
  • Timberwolves are 4-10-1 ATS in their last 15 road games.
  • Home team is 5-1 ATS in the last six head to head meetings.

NBA Gambling Prediction

Expect Andrew Wiggins to continue his hot streak from the field and use his athleticism to cause problems for the Pacers. Wiggins will most likely be guarded by Rodney Stuckey, which is favorable for Wiggins. The Pacers will look to dominate in the paint and on the glass with the play of Hibbert and West. However, I think it will be difficult for the Pacers to cover the double digit spread.

Free 4* NBA Betting Pick: MIN +11

The Pacers have not been playing good basketball and might get caught overlooking this game. Minnesota has been putting forth a lot of effort to end this losing skid and will keep this contest within single digits.
