Things are kind of tight at the top of the Eastern Conference and the Bulls are right there.
Orlando
The Magic are in a funk having lost 6 in a row, however, to be fair that is probably just par for the course for this team which isn’t very good.

Trying to break the losing at Chicago is far from ideal but that is the schedule.
Now that the NBA trade gates have bene busted open I wonder if there might be a piece or two of this Magic team that might look better elsewhere.
This team as its currently constituted just doesn’t have the right mix. Even if some of their young players develop I am not sure it is all there.

Orlando isn’t too hard to beat overall but they are especially easy to handle if you have an answer inside for Nikola Vucevic – unfortunately for the Magic I think the Bulls have three.
After Vucevic it is pretty easy to control the likes of Tobias Harris and Victor Oladipo.
Those guys are not among the elite at their positions and even though they put up some numbers do not really need to be feared.
Chicago
The Bulls broke a two game losing streak on Saturday night with a home win over Milwaukee.
They did it without the services of Derrick Rose who is expected to miss this game as well thanks to a hip injury.
When healthy he has looked as good as ever this season but when he is out of the lineup they definitely feel it and are not alway able to compensate.
The Bulls have a nice cushion in the Central Division so there is no reason to push Rose all that hard at this point in the season.
Pau Gasol had an absolutely monster night against Milwaukee scoring 46 of the team’s 95 points while also grabbing 18 rebounds – I think people forget just how good this guy really is.

With him commanding double teams and Jimmy Butler growing his game the Bulls have more then enough offense, even when Rose is out of the lineup.
They certainly have more than enough to dispatch the Magiz with ease.
