Free Pick: Nets vs. Suns NBA Betting Lines & Preview

NBA: Brooklyn vs Phoenix Prediction

The Phoenix Suns host the Brooklyn Nets on Wednesday evening at the US Airways Center in Arizona. The Suns have been scoring points in bunches but have had trouble at the defensive end, while the Nets have been able to score at will themselves, which should lead to a shootout on Wednesday.

The Suns are averaging 103.7 points per game, while the Nets are averaging 104.7 points per game. Both totals rank inside the top 10 in the league. The Suns have six players averaging double figures in scoring, so they haven’t had to rely on one source to provide points.

The issue with the Suns has been at the other end of the court, and that’s what head coach Jeff Hornacek is trying to get his squad to work on. The Suns held each of their first two opponents under 100 points in starting the year 2-0, while the team has since allowed 110.0 points per game in going 1-3 over their last four games.

The Suns did a better job defensively on Sunday when they forced the Golden State Warriors into 27 turnovers in a 107-95 win. The team got some good scoring off the bench as Isaiah Thomas poured in 22 points, while Gerald Green chipped in another 19.

Goran Dragic scored 19 points and Marcus Morris had 17 points and nine rebounds, but all of that production came at the expense of Eric Bledsoe, who had nine points in a little over 21 minutes.

The Nets are coming off a 104-96 win of their own, and that came with a little controversy near the end. Nets head coach Lionel Hollins elected to sit Brook Lopez for the entire fourth quarter and went with a smaller line up. The move worked out in a big way as Brooklyn outscored the Orlando Magic by 19 points in the quarter.

FREE Nets vs Suns Pick:

The Suns get this one at home in a game that figures to feature a lot of points, that should help Phoenix out in a big way. Additionally, given both team’s inability to get much done at the defensive end, while also being able to fill the basket with ease, the over is worth a good long look as well.

NBA Betting Trends:
