Sacramento

The biggest bright spot for the Kings this year has been the consistent play of Ben McLemore, who is on pace to become the first Kings player to start in all 82 games since Mike Bibby did in 2005.

He has raised his scoring average 3.0 points since last year with a 11.8 average this year. Center DeMarcus Cousins has played well this year, but has been prone to injury and it has greatly effected his team.

Rudy Gay has played well for Sacrament at times, but he has also been battling injuries all year. Cousins and Gay are the most important pieces to this Kings ball club and since they haven’t been able to stay healthy other players have had to step up.

As a team the Kings are averaging 100.9 points per game which is good for 13th overall in the league and have been dominant on the glass averaging 44.3 rebounds per game.

If the Kings want to give the Thunder a devastating loss they must receive big contributions from McLemore and Jason Thompson.

Oklahoma City

The Thunder are going for their 13th consecutive home win against the Kings and desperately need it to get back in the 8th seed. Oklahoma City has lost four straight and six of their last seven to move them to the bottom in the Western Conference playoffs. As of right now they sit tied for the 8th with the New Orleans Pelicans.

The Thunder must finish the regular season with a better record than the Pelicans to get into the playoffs because the Pelicans own the tiebreaker.

Russell Westbrook must have a huge game along with Steven Adams to control the glass. Westbrook is near the top of the NBA in points per game averaging 27.5 and Adams has proved to be one of the top rebounders with 7.4 per game.

If Westbrook can fill up the stat sheet like he has been doing, the Thunder have a great chance to win this game big and take back control of the 8th seed.

NBA Handicapping Tips:

  • Kings are 1-4-1 ATS in the last six meetings.
  • Thunder are 5-1 ATS in their last six games against a team with a winning percentage below .400.
  • Kings are 1-9 ATS in their last 10 road games against a team with a home winning percentage greater than .600.
  • Over is 10-2-1 in Thunder last 13 when their opponent allows 100 points or more in their previous game.
  • Over is 4-1 in Kings last five overall.

NBA Gambling Prediction

With the Thunder having their season riding on the last couple games of the year, expect them to come out strong. Russell Westbrook will have a huge game and lead the Thunder to a big victory over the Kings.

Free 4* NBA Betting Pick: OKC -13.5

14 points is a big spread for these two teams, but with the Thunder playing in a must win game they will have no problem running up the score on the depleted Kings.
