To make things even more interesting, the Bulls will hope to have Derrick Rose back.
Chicago
The Bulls have been playing extremely well recently mostly thanks to the efforts of Pau Gasol and Jimmy Butler , but hope to add even more to their lineup with Derrick Rose. His status for tip-off is still uncertain, but Coach Tom Thibodeau is optimistic that he will be able to play.

Rose missed last game due to an illness, one of many setbacks he has endured this season.
Forward Taj Gibson missed last game with an ankle injury and Joakim Noah has been battling ankle soreness as well. Noah has been attempting to play through his injury, but it is apparent he isn’t 100%. He was 1-8 in his first game back after missing the previous four although he did pull down 13 rebounds.
The bright spot for Chicago has been the play of Pau Gasol, who willing be facing his brother Marc in this contest, and the play of guard Jimmy Butler. Butler is coming off a career-high 35 points against the Knicks while Gasol added 20 points to go along with seven rebounds.

The Bulls are 7-3 in their last 10 while averaging 102.2 points per game on the year. Butler and Gasol have been very consistent, Butler is averaging 20.9 while Gasol is averaging 18.7.
Memphis
The Grizzles are off to a red hot start this year and are doing it with their defense. They allow 96.4 points per game which is good for 5th overall in the league.
Memphis is coming off a triple overtime thriller against the Spurs on Wednesday where they prevailed 117-116 to continue their six game win streak. They are 8-2 in the last ten as well.
The past two games for the Grizzles have been extremely pivotal victories over quality teams. They took down the Spurs Wednesday and ended the Warriors huge winning streak 105-98.
Memphis blew a 23 point lead in the Spurs game, but were saved by Marc Gasol who banked home a three at the end of regulation to send it to overtime. Gasol finished with 26 points along with Zach Randolph’s big performance of 21 points and 12 boards.
Point guard Mike Conley has the offense running efficient as ever while adding 14 points and 10 assists in the Spurs game as well. Conley is having a career year averaging 17.6 points per game on 46% shooting while dishing out 6.4 dimes.
Tony Allen is playing great basketball too, living up to his expectation of being one of the best perimeter defenders in the game.
Marc Gasol is averaging 23.4 points over the last five games while Zach Randolph has posted five straight double-doubles.

Randolph had another 20-20 game against the Spurs where he put up a remarkable 21 points and 21 rebounds.

Derrick Roses’ availability will play a big role in the outcome of this game, but I think Conley will be able to contain to him.
Another interesting matchup will be the Gasol brothers, which will be their 18th matchup of their careers. Look for both teams to play excellent team defense, but the game will come down to the play of Jimmy Butler and how he will react to the tight defense of Tony Allen.
