In the game, Brooklyn was allowed to shoot 48.6 percent from the field and 55.0 percent from beyond the arc, including a devastating three by Paul Pierce with just over a minute to go that broke a tie and put the Nets up for good.
As for the Pistons, they were able to get past lowly Sacramento on their home court on Tuesday, but they have had a hard time finding that kind of success on the road, where they’ve lost nine games in a row.
Toronto is simply in much better form than Detroit right now, and has a 21-point win over the Pistons under its belt already this year.
