The Detroit Pistons will try and avoid their straight loss to the Chicago Bulls this season with a rare win on the road tonight at the United Center. Tip-off is set for 8 p.m. (ET) and the game will be broadcast on NBA League Pass.

Detroit has lost six of its last 10 games overall, but it has been especially bad on the road with just one win in its last 13 away games. The Pistons are coming off a 112-109 overtime win over Philadelphia this past Saturday as a 1 ½-point home favorite that raised their overall record to 12-24 straight-up and 21-15 against the spread. They are currently 12 games behind Chicago in the Central Division and in 12th place in the Eastern Conference.

The Pistons are led by Rodney Stuckey, who is averaging 15.5 points and 5.1 assists. Tayshaun Prince is averaging 14.6 points and 4.7 rebounds and is the only player to start all 36 games for the team. Ben Wallace leads the team in rebounds with 6.7 and is the other workhorse in the lineup with 35 starts.

Detroit is ranked 23rd in the league in scoring with 95.5 points per game and 18th in points allowed; giving up an average of 100.4 per game. The Pistons are shooting just 44.9 percent from the floor but hitting 38.6 percent of their three-point attempts, which is fourth-best in the league.

Chicago has won its last six games at home and is 7-3 SU in its last 10 games overall. A 90-79 win over Boston as a two-point home favorite this past Saturday night raised the Bulls overall record to 24-12 SU and 20-15-1 ATS. They lead Indiana by nine games in the division and are in fourth place in the East.

The Bulls lost their leading rebounder, Joakim Noah in mid-December with a thumb injury, but Carlos Boozer and Luol Deng have done a great job under the boards in his absence. Boozer is averaging 10 rebounds and 20.3 points per game while Deng is averaging 6.1 rebounds and 17.8 points. Derrick Rose is the team’s leading scorer with 24.2 points per game and also leads in assists with 4.5.

Chicago is averaging 99.3 points per game and is holding opponents to just 93.9 points, which is sixth-best in the league. The Bulls have the 10th best shooting percentage in the league at 46.5 and hitting 35 percent from three-point range. Even without Noah in the lineup, Chicago is still one of the best rebounding teams in the league; averaging 44.3 per game and out-rebounding its opponents by +4.47 per game; which is tops in the league.

Trends:
Detroit is 3-2 ATS in its last five road games and 7-2 ATS in its last nine games overall. The total has gone ‘over’ in four of its last six games.
Chicago is 3-2 ATS in its last five games at home but just 3-6 ATS in its last nine games overall. The total has gone ‘over’ in four of its last five games.

Head-to-head, the Bulls have won the last nine games SU and are 7-1-1 ATS. The Pistons did manage to cover as a 4 ½-point home underdog in a 95-92 OT loss the last time they played, but failed to cover on the road as a nine-point underdog in a 101-91 loss the first time they played this season.

Detroit actually has a winning record on the road this season ATS at 10-9 but is going against a Chicago team that is 16-3 SU and 11-7-1 ATS at home this year. Stick with the Bulls to continue their dominance over the Pistons both SU and ATS with a double-digit victory that covers the 10 points.

The Pick: Chicago -10.
