ATS Matchup Insight | CappersPicks Insider Preview

The Bulls have lost back-to-back road games as they struggle with the early part of their current six-game road trip, but the team had really righted the ship in a significant way prior to those two games, doing some of their best work away from home. The team had won seven of their previous eight road games, and 11 of 15 games overall to get themselves back above .500 for the first time since Nov. 24.

The team could be in some trouble now as they face off with a Phoenix Suns team that has been as good as any team of late, thanks in large part to the efforts of point guard Goran Dragic. Dragic is averaging a career-high 20.0 points per game on the season, and joins LeBron James and Kevin Durant as the only players averaging better than 19 points and five assists with a shooting percentage above 48 percent this season. Dragic’s play has only picked up of late, as he is averaging 26.8 points on 63.9 percent shooting from the floor and 69.2 percent shooting from beyond the arc over his last four games.

In Phoenix’s last game, a 105-95 win over Charlotte on Saturday, the team’s fifth win in a row, Dragic poured in 25 points, knocking down 10 of 14 shots from the field. His contributions on Tuesday night will be vital if the Suns hope to put together their longest winning streak since a 10-game streak in the 2009-10 season. Dragic scored 21 points the first time these teams met this season, a 92-87 win for the Suns on Jan. 7.

The Bulls will be looking to avenge that loss, but also turn things around after a pathetic shooting effort against the Kings on Monday in a 99-70 loss. As a team, Chicago shot 28.2 from the field in the loss, their worst shooting effort since 2003. The team has shot just 33.1 percent from the field and 7 for 36 from beyond the arc since a 96-86 upset win in San Antonio to begin their road trip. Vindication will be on center Joakim Noah’s mind as well after he was ejected from the team’s game on Monday in the third quarter and finished his night with just four points and four rebounds.

The under is 5-0 in the Bulls’ last five games overall and 5-0 in their last five road games.

The under is also 6-2 in Chicago’s last eight games played on the second night of a back-to-back.

The play: Under 191.5
