Free pick and preview plus NBA betting odds and basketball lines for the matchup featuring the Charlotte Bobcats and the Detroit Pistons…

NBA Analysis – Bobcats vs Pistons

The Charlotte Bobcats (14-24 SU, 21-17 ATS, 15-21-2 O/U) snapped their two-game losing streak the last time out. The Detroit Pistons (22-13 SU, 16-19 ATS, 14-21 O/U) were soundly beaten in their last game and have dropped two of its last three overall. Tonight, both teams will both be gunning for a victory in the BetUS Sportsbook when they meet at The Palace of Auburn Hills.

The Bobcats beat the lowly Washington Wizards 92-89 on Saturday after climbing out of an early hole to cover the spread for BetUS NBA sports betting backers as 3.5-point road underdogs.

The team’s two newest players to the team – and biggest supporters for change under Hall of Fame head coach Larry Brown, shooting guard, Raja Bell and multi-talented swingman Boris Diaw, led the Bobcats with 19 and 18 points respectively.

Point guard Raymond Felton was carried off with 10:17 left in the third after stepping on a cameraman, but he returned late despite a sprained ankle and helped spark a 16-2 run.

“I felt like when they saw me come back they were like ‘OK, if he’s going to come back and play like this, he’s hurt, so we’ve got to do the same for him,'” Felton said of his teammates. “It gave everybody an extra boost, it gave them motivation.”

The Pistons were pounded in their 99-82 loss to the red-hot Utah Jazz last time on Saturday, failing to cover the spread in the BetUS Sportsbook as 9-point road underdogs. Detroit got a team-high 19 points from second-year point guard but just 11 points from Allen Iverson, five points from Tayshaun Prince and eight points from Rasheed Wallace. The Pistons shot 35.9 percent from the field for the game and scored 35 points in the second half.

“No excuses,” Iverson said. “It had nothing to do with being the last game of the trip, dead legs, anything. They were just better than us and they whooped us tonight.”

Pistons’ shooting guard Richard Hamilton missed his eighth consecutive game but could tonight, according to the Pistons’ official Web site.

NBA Odds

Charlotte Bobcats +7 -110
Detroit Pistons -7 -110

Over 176 -110
Under 176 -110

Analysis: While the Detroit Pistons have struggled in their last three games following a solid seven-game winning streak – and the Bobcats have a newfound sense of self-worth after acquiring Bell and Diaw, I like the Pistons to win tonight and cover the spread by the slimmest of margins after getting thoroughly routed the last time they took the floor.

I also like the Over in a big way in this contest as the 176-point O/U looks to be seriously on the low side for this contest.
