Atlanta

Though it was another close game you have to wonder how much Atlanta has in them having split the first two games.

They were an amazing 17 for 17 from the free throw line in G4 making up for the fact that they shot just 35% from the field. Those are very drastic splits.

I have no idea why reserve forward Mike Scott took 15 shots in G4, especially considering he made only 4 of them. It appears the Pacers did a good job forcing the Hawks into uncomfortable situations with this just being one of them. They also made Jeff Teague uncomfortable too as he shot just 5 for 15.

The only player who was solid offensively was Paul Milsap – no surprise there as he is their most consistent player.

Even though the Hawks seems to be surprising every night they are just 2-2 ATS in the series.

The simple fact is that that when they are not winning they are not getting it done for bettors against the number. I think that could switch for game 5 but I am not sure I would stake myself on that.

You can bet and rest easier with some other options for sure.

Indiana

Just when you think they are done they pull you back in again. It is still near impossible to predict the Pacers’ performance from game to game but you have to admit they have showed some resilience over the last couple of month.

It is now a three game series with two in Indiana so the odds are still in their favour even though winning at home is far from the gimme it was earlier in the season.

Paul George had his most complete game in a while scoring 24 points with 10 boards and 4 assists in the G4 victory – all team highs.

I still do not understand how they are not able to give mammoth center Roy Hibbert more chances to score around the basket, there is way that 3 separate players from the bench should have more shot attempts than him.

Lance Stephenson did not have a strong G4 but I expect him to rebound.

Given their recent performance it is really hard to feel good about giving up 7 points with Indiana…but when they won in G2 they covered that figure easily.

I really think you are probably wise to stay away from the Pacers this round.

I know that is coming from someone who said back them with all of those small numbers we have been seeing but better to live and play another day, right?
