When it comes to the three-point contest, we’re looking at one of the most talent shooting groups of all time to participate in this event. Here’s a look at who the odds-on favorites are to take home this year’s trophy.

Kyle Korver 11/4

Kyle Korver has made a career out of launching the long ball. He’s knocked down 43.3 percent of his shots from downtown during the 12 years he’s been in the league, and he’s hitting an insane 52.3 percent this season.

Look for Korver to land in the finals, barring a complete shocker.

Steph Curry 13/4

If it weren’t for Kyle Korver’s participation in this year’s contest, Steph Curry would be just about everyone’s favorite. He’s a strong candidate for NBA MVP this season, and his 39.9 percent shooting from behind the arc makes him one of the most dangerous offensive weapons in the entire Association.

Klay Thompson 4/1

Right behind Steph Curry is his teammate Klay Thompson. Simply put: There’s a reason the two are nicknamed “The Splash Brothers.” While both have established themselves as prolific defenders, it’s the long-range shooting that really sets them apart from other great duos across the league. Thompson is knocking down 44 percent of his three-pointers this season.

Kyrie Irving 7/1

As a former three-point champion, Kyrie Irving knows what it takes to win this contest. In fact, he’s also been a All-Star MVP, showing that he’s got a little bit of everything going for him during this weekend-long event.

As it pertains to three-point shooting, the numbers speak for themselves. He’s shooting 41.4 percent from downtown this season, and he’s looking to capture another title to go along with the one he earned in 2013.

J.J. Redick 13/2

J.J. Redick has become synonymous with “three-point specialist.” It’s been that way since his collegiate days at Duke University, and he’s kept that reputation by shooting 43.6 percent from long range with the Los Angeles Clippers this season.

Wesley Matthews 17/2

Wesley Matthews wasn’t known as a three-point shooter when he entered the NBA, but he credits time with Utah Jazz legend Jeff Hornacek for his current ability to hit from deep. Entering this event, Matthews is tied with Steph Curry for most three-pointers attempted, and he’s tied with both Curry and Kyle Korver for most three-pointers made.

Marco Belinelli 7/1

Marco Belinelli may not be a sexy pick, but a 7/1 odds, he’s not a bad choice.

[dfads params=’groups=63741&limit=1&return_javascript=0′]

After all, he did take home the hardware for this contest in 2014, and he’s currently shooting 38.1 percent from behind the arc for the San Antonio Spurs.

James Harden 8/1

If James Harden enters a three-point contest with the worst odds of anyone to walk away a winner, you know the contest is stacked. The Houston Rockets guard is taking 6.9 three-pointers per contest this season, and more importantly, he’s knocking down 38.3 percent of his attempts.

Prediction

The top three are atop this list for a reason.

While seeing a Splash Bro’s final would make for great television, the safer bet is one Splash Bro and Kyle Korver.

Kyrie Irvin and Wesley Matthews should be considered great sleeper picks, but don’t be shocked if Curry walks away a winner over Korver when it’s all said and done.
