NASCAR Betting Trends – Tums QuickPak 500

Jeff Burton has five races in which to catch Jimmie Johnson. For online wagering fans that have placed a NASCAR online bet on Burton, things don’t look too good. Johnson was masterful last Saturday night when holding his second place position in the Bank of America 500.

That’s all you can hope to expect from Jimmie at this point. Burton won the race but Jimmie held serve.

Let’s get to this weekend’s race!
Race-time:
10/19/2008 1:00 pm est.

Tums QuickPak 500 Best Online Wagering Interests

1. Jimmie Johnson – – online betting odds + 285 – – Low online odds on Jimmie, but I have no choice but to back him in this spot. He’s a serious contender to just take off as soon as the race starts and not look back. A victory all but assures his third straight Cup championship. Jimmie should come through easily.

2. Jeff Burton – – online betting odds + 1200 – – Sure, Jimmie looks tough in this race, but Burton isn’t going to just go away. He has a chance to win the Sprint Cup. He’s going to put in as good of a race as he can. It may not be enough but the online wagering odds say that he’s worth a serious look.

3. Jeff Gordon – – online betting odds + 300 – – Gordon is a stud who has been driving like a gelding all year. The guy has to come through this season. He just has to. He hasn’t won a race yet. It’s getting embarrassing, Jeff.

4. Tony Stewart – – online betting odds + 700 – – Tony the Tiger could put together another great run in this race. At 7 to 1 he certainly looks like a decent online wager and there’s no doubt that he would love to add some interest to this race by running off with it. I like Tony to put in a good run.

5. Greg Biffle – – online betting odds + 2500 – – Biffle’s online wagering odds are just too high for me to ignore. He could definitely turn things around and get some things going in this race. I expect Biffle to come out and put a nice run in. He may not get there in time, but at 25 to 1 I’m willing to take a shot.

6. Carl Edwards – – online betting odds + 2000 – – Edwards has just had an awful month. I have to believe that he and his crew will get the cars together for this race. The Cup is out of his grasp, but he could still win this race. Like Biffle the online betting odds of 20 to 1 are too good to pass up.

Good Luck!
