NASCAR Betting – Pep Boys Auto 500

There are only four races left and unless one of the most dominant figures in all of online sports betting somehow doesn’t suit up for the final races, it’s all over but the shouting.

While the rest of the BetUS online sportsbook world has been concentrating on the Breeders’ Cup World Thoroughbred Championships, the NFL, and the MLB playoffs (for good reasons of course!), Jimmie Johnson has slowly dominated the Sprint Cup Chase.

Hell, the man is the single most dominating athlete in all of sports right now. He obliterated the field last weekend when winning the Tums QuikPak 500. This will be Johnson’s third NASCAR Cup in a row.

That’s three Cups in a row! It’s amazingly impressive considering how difficult it is to win a single NASCAR race much less the championship three years in a row.

Maybe Johnson gets upset this weekend. It doesn’t matter. He’s so far ahead in the point standings that he’s got the Cup. He’s probably my Sportsman of the Year already.

Let’s get to this weekend’s race!

Race-time: 10/26/2008 1:00 pm est.

Pep Boys Auto 500 Best Online Wagering Interests

1. Jimmie Johnson – – online betting odds + 450 – – The most dominating figure in sports could easily pick up his second victory in a row. Jimmie doesn’t talk much which is the reason he isn’t gracing the cover of every single magazine in the United States. Oh, there’s also a presidential race going on. In any other year, I’d be writing letters saying, “Do you guys have any idea what Jimmie’s about to accomplish?”

2. Jeff Gordon – – online betting odds + 1000 – – Gordon has had a good Cup chase. Not great, but good. There’s four races left for Gordo to pick up a victory. I don’t remember the last time, maybe never, when Gordon finished out a year with no victories at all. I like him to make his presence felt in this.

3. Carl Edwards – – online betting odds + 450 – – Edwards has to be disappointed with how he and his crew have performed during the Cup chase. I like Edwards and I do believe that the future is bright for the guy, but this Cup has been awful for him. He could win this, though, which would definitely take some of the sting away.

4. Greg Biffle – – online betting odds + 700 – – Biffle is second in the Cup Chase standings. He probably has no chance of getting to Jimmie, unless Jimmie shows up on a tricycle, but that’s alright. Biffle has proven what a competitor he is by racing hard during the Chase. I give him a shot in this.

5. Juan Pablo Montoya – – online betting odds + 8500 – – Why not? Yeah, I know…but why not?

6. Kasey Kahane – – online betting odds + 2500 – – Kahane is a good fella to get in there and upset things. He’s got what it takes to be very difficult to beat in this situation. I like Kasey to maybe pull out a victory at good online wagering odds.

Good Luck!
