NASCAR Gambling – Ford 400 at Homestead Motor Speedway
It’s the final race of the NASCAR season and Jimmie Johnson has pretty much secured his third straight NASCAR Cup. It’s an amazing feat. I’m not sure anybody else has ever done that.
Of course, the rules changed recently which allowed Johnson to coast through the regular season, just enough to get into the Chase, where he knew that his crew and his cars would outrun everybody. Still, from a sports betting point-of-view, Johnson is an absolute stand-out.
He needed to win last weekend to secure the Cup. That’s exactly what he did.
Let’s get to the final race of the NASCAR season!

Best Online Betting Opportunities for the Ford 400
1. Matt Kenseth – – online betting odds + 1000 – – Kenseth owns the record on this track and he’s 10 to 1. That makes him worth an online wager in my book. Because Jimmie will be fairly conservative in this race, he won’t push himself too hard and get himself into a crash, I believe this race is ripe for a long shot to take. That could be Kenseth.
2. Kyle Busch – – online betting odds + 700 – – NASCAR’s darling during the regular season just never got his cars and crew on track for the Cup Chase. No worries. He can end the season on a high note by winning the final race. I like Kyle to drive very well in this. He has a shot.
3. Jeff Gordon – – online betting odds + 1500 – – What happened this season? Gordon and his crew just never got it together. The expected run never happened. Yes, I sort of feel like I’m throwing money away by going with Gordon again, but, hey, this is Jeff Gordon and…yeah, I know… I sound like a broken record.
4. Carl Edwards – – online betting odds + 200 – – Something catastrophic would have to happen in Jimmie’s world for Edwards to win the Cup. It could, but I doubt it. Edwards will make a decent run but his chances of winning this aren’t nearly as great as the 2 to 1 online betting odds indicate.
5. Greg Biffle – – online betting odds + 500 – – I like Biffle to put in a great run, but his ability to secure the victory probably isn’t worth an online wager at only 5 to 1. He’s third in the Cup standings, has no real shot of winning the Cup, but could pull off a slight upset in this. He’s had a good 9 races that’s for sure.
6. Jimmie Johnson – – online betting odds + 500 – – Jimmie and his crew are too smart to let anything stupid happen in this race. The Cup victory is almost assured. Yes, Jimmie will make sure he finishes in the Top Five, but he won’t push it unless he’s absolutely sure that nothing crazy will happen. That makes him a bad online bet but a great driver.
